The marathon hosts are founders and team leaders of American companies, based in the USA. LinguaTrip.com, an online-platform for booking language courses abroad and admissions to foreign universities, was established 5 years ago. LinguaTrip now has over 100,000 clients every month. Jacobi is the developer of an innovative platform for multi-asset portfolio design and analytics. Jacobi has been in the market for 6 years already.

Our hosts

Marina Mogilko

Co-founder of LinguaTrip.com. She raised investments in Silicon Valley to grow her business in the USA and won an Opportunity Award from the US government. She leads a multicultural team of 100+ people from all over the world.

Elena Anisimova

Elena has extensive global experience building and executing digital transformation initiatives. In her current role, Elena leads North America market for Jacobi Strategies, an investment tech company headquartered in San Francisco, California. Prior to Jacobi, Elena led innovation efforts across consumer and institutional divisions at Citi; for her work, she was awarded Citi Leaders in Excellence and recognized as a Progress Maker. With over 13 years of experience, she brings a diverse skill set emphasizing strategy, business development, product sales, commercialization and financial analysis.

“I’ve been living and working in the United States for about 5 years. During this time, I have mastered my skills in hiring employees, fundraising, business negotiation, and raising investments — all skills that helped me grow the scale of my business. I’m now ready to share my best strategies with you.”

What you can expect from the marathon

Insights

We’ll tell you about the structure of successful resumes and cover letters, and share our own CVs. Also, we will explain how an American startup can win over investors.

Top-Notch Homework Sets

We will give you creative and extra-practical tasks for mastering your networking, business correspondence and presentation skills. No theory for its own sake! We will teach you to write a tailor-made CV, introduce yourself, ask an HR manager the right questions, and present your ideas as comprehensive pitch deсks.

Business English for Real Life

Straight to the point: clear lists of useful English phrases for work life and interviews, business small talk, taboo topics, and business jargon.

Step-by-Step Instructions

We’ll explain every step to make both your LinkedIn profile and CV stand out, and help you get an offer after an interview. Then, we’ll share our toolkit for productive work.

Business Presentations

We will explain how you should run negotiations and give presentations that make everybody listen to you. You will be able to charm your colleagues, partners, and potential investors.

Teamwork

We will share not-so-obvious tips and tricks of working for an international company, and we’ll help you better understand American corporate culture. For business people, we will explain how to build your international team and arrange your workflows.

“Every day, leading US companies receive hundreds of CVs from candidates all over the world. But only a few manage to land their dream job. Why? You won’t believe it, but candidates aren’t mainly rejected for lack of experience. Instead, they lack understanding of the nuances: from writing a good CV to communication with HR-managers and the proper interviewing behavior.”
