Dublin is an Exam Preparation Academy which means that they specialise in supporting students to achieve the highest possible IELTS result. IELTS preparation classes will be available in the morning and afternoon and you will have the option to take regular mock IELTS tests. You will be taught by teachers who have been trained to specialise in IELTS and will receive support throughout your course with tutorials and study plans focusing on maximising your IELTS score.

English Academic Year courses are nine month English courses that aim to take you from your current level of English up to a very high level of fluency. As well as this general English course, you can choose an Intensive Academic Year course, in which you will study specific sections of vocabulary and skills, such as Business English and exam preparation.

Course length:
9 months (32 weeks of tuition and 2-3 weeks break)
Course structure:
- 20 lessons (15 hours) of General English: focus on the four main aspects of language: reading, writing, listening, and speaking;
- 7 sessions (5.25 hours) of K+ tools, K+eXtra and K+ clubs: Self-study time with access to exclusive materials and resources along with personalized sessions for you study the areas you most need help with, including exam techniques and study group work.
All courses are Monday-Friday, with morning and afternoon classes and each lesson lasts 45 minutes.
The school must confirm the availability of your chosen accommodation.
If the selected housing is not available for your dates, the school will offer another accommodation option for you to consider.

Ardcairn House is a new residence in the heart of Dublin city centre, offering stylish accommodation. Located just an 18-minute walk from Kaplan International English, you will be perfectly situated on one of the city’s most vibrant streets where you can easily find some supermarkets, restaurants and cafes in the local area. There is also a bowling alley, golf putting green, basketball court, gym, fitness suite, cinema room, roof terrace and various study rooms which you can enjoy at no extra cost during your stay.
The residence is comprised of 4-5 bedroom apartments each with large communal kitchen/living areas. You will have a private en-suite bedroom with a small double bed, desk and chair along with plenty of storage. There is a TV in each apartment. Your en-suite bedroom also holds a shower, toilet and basin. Your kitchen is fully equipped with a microwave, kettle, toaster and oven, as well as crockery, cutlery and utensils. Weekly kitchen cleaning service is included however you are expected to keep your bedroom and shared areas tidy and clean.
Internet connection is available in each apartment in Ardcairn Residence. There is an on-site launderette with washing machines and dryers; Your will be advised to download an app on arrival and in the laundry area you can purchase a card option as well to top up. Its 3.90 on a wash and 1.90 on a dry.
Electricity, gas and water are included in the accommodation fee. Electrical current is 240 volts AC (50 cycles) and students from some countries may require a transformer and a plug adaptor. The residence has CCTV and onsite security, as well as secures bike storage. There is a key fob entry system to rooms and social areas. You can feel free to speak to a staff at reception if you need any help during your stay. You can have visitors but overnight guests are not allowed unless it’s booked through Kaplan in advance for no longer than 2 nights, please respect your neighbours and keep noise levels to a minimum, especially after 10pm.
There is NO SMOKING anywhere in the residence. Anyone found smoking, allowing guests to smoke or tampering with the smoke detectors will be fined.
Kitchen/living room cleaning service is normally provided on Fridays. You are responsible for keeping your apartment tidy and clean during your stay. Please give advance notice of your arrival time to Kaplan staff so that residence coordinators can be made available to assist you with checking in. You are advised to check in on Saturdays or Sundays between 3pm – 10.30pm. Any arrivals outside these hours should be approved by the school. Departures are strictly before 10am on Saturdays.
