When you learn Spanish in Playa del Carmen, a small but lively modern city on the Riviera Maya, you'll have an infinite world of Mexican wonders to explore.
Don Quijote Playa del Carmen is just 6 blocks from the white sand beaches. Better yet, classes are held outside under thatched roofs amidst our own tropical gardens, so you can enjoy the full Caribbean experience.
School offers:
- 16 classrooms, 10 in typical palapas (cabins with thatched roofs) in a tropical garden;
- Library and multimedia center;
- Computers, study tables for laptops;
- Free Wi-Fi;
- Kitchen and on-campus café;
- Outdoor volleyball court;
- Optional activities: Salsa and Latin American dance classes, Mexican songs workshop, visit Botanical Garden, Maya archaeological site Xaman Ha, nearby caves.
Intensive courses are perfect for students of all ages who wish to learn as quickly and efficiently as possible through constant interaction. Students will learn how to use grammar in context through a wide range of activities including reading, discussions, conversations, viewing documentaries, listening to songs, watching films, etc.
Students can choose between:
- 20 classes per week;
- 20 classes + 5 Spanish culture and conversation workshops;
- 20 classes + 5 Spanish culture and conversation workshops + 5 semi-private classes (up to 4 students).
Duration: 1 – 52 weeks.
The school must confirm the availability of your chosen accommodation.
If the selected housing is not available for your dates, the school will offer another accommodation option for you to consider.
I don't need housing
Residing with a host family will provide a truly authentic experience. Students will receive keys to the residence thus giving them the freedom and flexibility of coming and going as they please.
Includes: laundry service once a week, bed linen and blankets, WiFi.
90% of the families offer a packed lunch instead of a regular meal.
In double rooms, the private bathroom is shared with your roommate.

Student residence is located in the city center and offers the possibility to live with Spaniards who are also living and studying in the city as students.
It includes: bed linen, welcome amenities, Wi-fi, cleaning service, use of kitchen, gas, electricity and water costs.
Extra days available at an additional cost. Maximum 3 days. The cost of an entire week will be charged if you need 4 or more additional days.
Student apartments are a simple yet complete housing option. Equipped with essential features like a bed, desk, chair, closet and nightstand you will have a comfortable bedroom for sleeping and studying. Up to six students can live in a shared apartment. Students will be responsible for purchasing and preparing their own food.
Included:
Wi-Fi, bed linens, welcome amenities, access to a fully equipped kitchen and laundry facilities, shared bathroom, shared TV, gas, electricity, water costs, and heat.
Not included: towels, meals, cleaning.

I never felt insecure. People spoke very proper Spanish. I didn't feel like I was attending school, because there were no enclosed classrooms. Truly a very good place.
