Located in Heidelberg, the FU Academy of Languages is one of the largest language schools in Europe. It is situated in the center of the historical university town near the river Neckar, the Old Town, and the Castle.
The FU Academy of Languages Heidelberg is one of the world leaders in the provision of German courses. Every year, over 10,000 language learners from more than 100 countries come here to learn foreign languages.
Thanks to its internationality, the school gives learners a unique opportunity to find out more about different cultures, and to put new language skills into practice - between classes or enjoying a break in the school's atrium, for example, or taking part in the cultural sporting activities.
The FU Academy of Languages Heidelberg offers everything to ensure that the language learning experience in Heidelberg is an exceptional one: 70 multimedia-equipped classrooms (up to 85 in summer), 3 Internet rooms, free Internet access.
Super-intensive course is ideal for students who want to study German as quickly, thoroughly, and intensively as possible.
This course consists of: Main course + Module German + Individual lessons.
The main course focuses on all the aspects of the German language: grammar, speaking, writing, listening comprehension, and reading. Module course involves development of specific language competences (grammar, conversation, business language, exam preparation).
35 lessons per week (including 5 individual lessons).

The category I residences are located between 3-7 km distance from the school. With public transportation, it takes about 20-30 minutes to the school.
Facilities: Each room shares a kitchen and bathroom with other F+U students.
Furnishing of the rooms: each room is equipped with a bed, wardrobe, a desk and a chair.
Washing machines: Washing machines and dryers are available.
Internet: Internet is available free of charge.
Bed linen and towels: Bed linen is provided once, towels are to be brought along!
Cookware: Please note that kitchens/kitchenettes do not have cooking utensils, cutlery and dishes. Depending on availability, these can be rented for a €25 fee and a €40 deposit (refundable after departure).

The category II residences are located between 2,5-5 km distance from the school. With public transportation, it takes about 15-25 minutes to the school.

Host family accommodation up to 50 minutes distance to school by public transport. The host family is a great way to imbue the culture of the country, and also improve your language! You can learn about the life of people from the inside, practice German every day, eat home food, and also participate in many family events. Living in a host family you will be able to choose a food option.
A deposit of 150 EUR is required upon the student arrival, which will be refunded at the end of the stay.
