The Montreal language academy

Located at the center of Montreal, the Academie Linguistique Internationale (ALI) opened its door in 1993 and welcomes nowadays more than 2000 students per year, coming from all over the globe. Our communicative approach and the personalized attention we give to each student, as well as the very high quality of our teaching has allowed us to distinguish ourselves from other schools and to maintain a very high satisfaction rate year after year.

A local family business, the Academie has an excellent reputation both in Canada and internationally, which allows it to have a very big variety in its student population. General ESL TOP CHOICE

Separated in three types of Program, our General English Program will take students from even beginner levels to a highly advanced one in the span of a year.

1) Regular Program (20h/ week)

This program is perfect for those who want to learn the language and enjoy some free time to explore Montreal and its nearby destinations.

8:30 - 10:30 : Oral Grammar

10:30 -11:30 : Skills

11:30 -12:30 : Lunch

12:30 - 2:30 : Conversation

2) Intensive Program (25h/ week)

The most popular option among our students, this comprehensive program offers daily full-time classes, special workshops, and interactive activities with group dynamics.

12:30 - 2:30 : Conversation

Friday (all day)

8:30 - 2:30 : Fluency Workshop (pronunciation, expression, daily conversation)

3) Super Intensive Program (30h/week)

The more involved of our three programs, the Super-Intensive is designed to help students develop better fluency and pronunciation skills, and help build their confidence and ability in conversation with one hour extra per day of group classes over and above the Intensive Program.

Our Homestay Coordinator chooses the family based on each student’s profile and information provided on the application form. Students can choose to stay with an English, a French, or a bilingual family.

The residence option includes houses or apartments with large common area, separate bedrooms, and facilities shared with other students. This option is recommended for more independent students.
