I went to this school and did not regret that I chose Torquay. Firstly, the school is not big and there are not many students at that time of year (there were 8-9 students in my group). Secondly, there were no Russian students and it was an important criterion for me because if you do not understand something, you cannot ask anyone on your native language and you start to rely on yourself. The third advantage is staying in a host family. I lived with an elderly lady and we talked on different topics every day. It helped me to improve my English very much. By the way, she cooked very delicious. Fourthly, there is a computer class, books for different levels of English, a small dining room (if you do not like the dining room, there is a cafe with Chinese cuisine across the road. It is like a buffet, you pay 6.8 pounds per person and eat as much as you want), table tennis and even a pool (but it's cold to swim at this time of year) in the school. Also, though the city is small, there are a lot of places to go to: cafes, theaters, cinemas, museums. Personally I went to Paington zoo on weekends (there is a discount for students) and I liked it very much. And the most important thing is teachers. My teachers were Jonathan and Mark. All the classes were interesting and I gained a lot of knowledge after each lesson. If you are considering this school to study, then this is a good choice. There is only one slight drawback: if you fly to London first, a one-way train will cost you from 40 to 50 pounds.

I liked the organization in Kaplan school. I studied in a standard small group where I was the only Russian speaker, and for this reason it was hard for me to study, although other guys had a vocabulary and grammar even lower. Practice has shown that I have improved my level in writing but my conversation skills was not so good.

I can say that the classes are interesting, especially in the last week. The quality of good teaching was very good - which undoubtedly encouraged learning the language. Courses for young people, dynamic people who really want to learn.

The city is a district and small, but also beautiful, historical. I lived in a host family from England! He is a local ethnographer, researcher, and his wife is engaged in domestic service. The house is huge, even with a swimming pool (plus one is in school)!

Very good excursions. In this regard, the workload and practice are excellent!

Stunning impressions of the school, but I would like to be more intense!
