BSC Oxford is a great school if you want to improve your general English. The school itself is conveniently located in the centre of Oxford, the learning conditions (technical equipment, the convenience of the rooms, availability of a canteen, transport accessibility, infrastructure around in the form of shops) - everything suited me perfectly. I took an intensive course that included General English, Listening and Speaking, Grammar, Wordpower. Morning classes in general English were held according to the Macmillan textbook, it was issued by the school for the period of study, all the others - without a specific textbook, but teachers sometimes printed materials. School provides access to an online platform with assignments for 6 months, but I did not use it almost. Classes were held from 9:10 to 16:30, almost always had to do homework in the evening, but time was quite enough and almost did not feel fatigued, because almost all the teachers built classes so as not to let us get bored. About teachers: the basic structure is very pleasant, friendly and perfectly explains the material studied, but I got a new set of teachers and not all of them were so good. My course lasted 3 weeks and sounded like General & Business English, but there wasn’t any “business”, therefore, I wouldn’t recommend this school to those for whom it matters. Anyone who thinks about the duration of the trip, I can say that 3 weeks is very little to improve a lot, especially if you have a level in the B2 area and above, so I would consider trips from 4 weeks. There are a lot of guys who study there for 3-6-8 months and here, of course, progress is visible on them. Of course, they can afford it, since they are preparing to enter higher education institutions or to work after graduation, but there are also those who, at a sufficiently mature age, with work, find time to develop a language. At school, I met only 3 people from Russia, but since we were in different groups, this did not prevent immersion in the English-speaking environment. I lived in the SladePark student residence (for some reason it is not on the LinguaTrip website), I had a private room and a bathroom in it, as well as a shared kitchen for 5 people. Of the minuses - to get to the school accounted for 25-40 minutes by bus, depending on traffic jams. There are a lot of children from the school living in this residence, so if you want, you can find a company, but the Spanish-speaking girls lived with me, so we didn’t work very well. Many guys lived in host families, no one complained, I probably would have preferred the next time too. I booked the course and the residence at the last moment (4 weeks before the trip) and was very pleased with the LinguaTrip service, as they helped to agree with the school, prepare the necessary documents and everything on time. I received the visa myself, so it was very nice that my application could be checked for free. Concluding my review, I can say that I highly recommend both LinguaTrip and BSC Oxford School. I wish you all success in this difficult and exciting way to learn English!...
