General English courses form the foundation of your English knowledge, and give you the space to analyse, question and practise. They include speaking, listening, reading, writing and pronunciation. The aim is to help you use newly acquired skills in real-life situations, immediately. Whether you want to improve your English for work, study or pleasure, a General English course is the key to understanding the language.

General English forms the core of the teaching programme. Morning classes are based around a coursebook lesson, followed by a Speaking & Listening class. Afternoon and intensive courses offer you the chance to focus on specific language areas and may include the different options depending on your learning needs and preferences.

Conveniently located within 10 minutes of the school on foot, Liberty Point student residence is fitted with modern rooms and excellent facilities. Sharing with 5 other students in a 6-bedroom apartment, you will have your own private bathroom as well as access to shared kitchen facilities and common spaces. Located less than 5 minutes’ walk from Piccadilly Train Station, the residence is also within easy walking distance of central Manchester's key attractions as well as the vibrant Northern Quarter with a large choice of bars and restaurants. Your en-suite bedroom includes a desk and storage space for your clothes. Within each apartment you will also have access to a shared kitchen and living room with TV. Bed linen is provided but you will need to bring your own towel.
