Westcroft Square centre is a modern building with bright, stylish rooms and excellent facilities. Building of The London School of English is located in a pleasant, safe, residential and shopping area only about 20 minutes on a direct subway line from the centre of London. Students here are a little older than in many schools – your guarantee of a serious, useful course, and ideal for someone learning for Higher Education or for their career.
Students of The London School of English have access to free on-line learning from the date of enrolment until 3 months after their course finishes and regular networking sessions in the school.

Intensive General English course is a practical course designed to give you the knowledge, skills and fluency you need in today's world. This English course uses dynamic teaching techniques and the latest technology to deliver motivating lessons which will meet your individual needs and goals.
In the morning sessions you will develop your general English language skills, focusing on listening, speaking, reading and writing as well as grammar and vocabulary.
Afternoon sessions focus on key areas of the language and specific areas of need:
- Social and intercultural English
- English for work and travel
- Modern British culture
- Media, news and views
- Films and other arts
This very intensive, four-week TEFL course, TESOL certification (Cert TESOL), prepares you to teach English as a foreign language. You will gain the basic skills and knowledge you need to be a successful English teacher. You will learn from qualified and experienced team in a professional and friendly environment.
The CertTESOL is accepted by the British Council as an initial TESOL or TEFL certification for English language teachers in its accredited teaching organisations in the UK and in its own teaching operations in other countries.
This English teacher training course includes a special workshop dedicated to finding a job as an English language teacher - both in the UK and abroad.

English for University covers the academic English and practical study skills you will need for undergraduate and postgraduate degree level studies at university. You will develop your confidence and competence in key areas such as research, making group presentations, critical analysis and extended writing.
You can expect to cover the following areas:
- Using and understanding academic vocabulary and grammar
- Academic listening skills such as extended listening, active listening and note-taking
- Academic reading skills such as finding information quickly in texts, summarising and paraphrasing (putting ideas in a text into your own words)
- Academic writing skills such as planning and linking ideas, essay structure and presenting an argument
- Academic speaking skills such as leading presentations and discussions, taking part in seminars, debating and explaining ideas.
- Doing research, analysing, developing and expressing your opinion
- Working together as a team with colleagues towards a final presentation and essay.
Starting dates in 2020: 9/3, 11/5, 27/7, 24/8, 26/10
The school must confirm the availability of your chosen accommodation.
If the selected housing is not available for your dates, the school will offer another accommodation option for you to consider.
I don't need housing
Homestay combines quality, friendliness and very good value for money. It is suitable both for people who want a lot of contact with their host and also for those who prefer to be free and independent.
All of the accommodation is of high quality and close to the school – often just a short walk, and never more than a 40-minute journey by foot or public transport. Since it is all in the same part of London students are often reasonably close to each other.
Prince Consort Village is a modern student residential building conveniently located within walking distance of, or just a short bus ride from the school. Situated in Shepherd's Bush, the accommodation is close to many transport links, cafés, restaurants, shops and pubs in the local area. Guests can relax and mix with other students in the communal lounge areas or one of the outdoor courtyards.
Residential accommodation is only available while you are taking a course in the school, including the time it takes to take an exam related to your course.
Cleaning fee – £20 per stay.
