Summer English language program for junior students at Oxford International St Dunstan’s College London combines academic schedules with engaging activities which make the most of each location, gives students a diverse cultural experience and helps ensure they succeed in their studies – all in a safe and secure environment.
Students at Oxford International St Dunstan’s College London will always be guaranteed to visit some of the most iconic and memorable locations in the UK. Alongside this, the school has an extensive list of optional excursions you can choose on arrival.
All students sit a written and oral placement test on their first day to ensure they are placed correctly in the most challenging class appropriate for their level.
Every student receives an Oxford International coursebook with all learning materials for their language course. The materials encourage students to keep a clear record of their learning and achievements which they will feel proud to present to their parents and teachers when they return home.
The courses in Oxford International St Dunstan’s College London are fully inclusive of:
- hot lunches;
- 20 minutes to Central London;
- 4 evening meals on-site;
- pick and drop homestay;
- swimming pool;
- 10 half-day trips into London to main tourist attractions including Thames River Cruise and London Eye;
- Full-day excursions to Brighton and Cambridge included with entrance to a University College and Royal Pavilion;
- Homestay immersion with residential facilities.
On-site activities include:
- Sports and high-energy activities for energetic students, such as football and swimming;
- Whole-campus activities such as discos and karaoke;
- Challenges for those who enjoy the competitive nature of activities, but not necessarily high-energy pursuits, including photo challenges or team challenges;
- Specific workshops for the students such as Drama or Art classes;
- Relaxing activities after full days of excursions, such as film night or chess club;
- Academic themed activities.
Excursions
One of the most exciting elements of the programs are the excursions – these can be local visits, half-day excursions to a nearby town or city, full-day excursions a little further afield, or extended full-day trips to make the most of the time in the city.
During an excursion, the students will have a walking tour – this is a tour around the town or city guided by Activity Leaders, who give fun information about where they are.
Off-site Activities
The program also offers off-site activities that students can pay a small supplement for, such as bowling, cinema and paintballing trips. The off-site activities will be open to all students and those not electing to do these will have a full program on-site.
