Located on George Street in the centre of Scotland’s beautiful capital city, British Study Centres Edinburgh school – formerly known as Edinburgh Language Centre – is within easy walking distance of the city’s main attractions and only minutes away from public transport links to the airport and residential areas. Established in 2002, it is the only Eaquals-accredited school in Scotland and recently became an official Cambridge English online examination centre. Princes Street tram stop, Edinburgh Waverley Train Station, Bus stops to all areas of the city, Edinburgh Castle, The Royal Mile, Princes St, Calton Hill, Botanic Gardens - it’s some of the places that are near the school.

All families are carefully selected and regularly visited to ensure consistently high standards.

Host families are located in residential neighborhoods in and around the city of Edinburgh. All homes are within safe and reasonable walking distance from public transport.

You can choose a single room or a shared room (only available to 2 students booking together). All rooms have everything that is needed for comfortable living and studying even at home after classes. Bathroom, living room and kitchen are shared rooms.

Homestay accommodation offers 2 types of nutrition: bed & breakfast or half board(breakfast and dinner). If you require a special diet, you will have to pay extra £28 per week.

Internet access is available at most homestays. Bed linen and towels provided. Also, students will have an access to washing machine.

If you want to be more independent then McDonald Road Residence is the best option for you.

McDonald Road Residence is located in a residential area near the top of Leith Walk, only 15 minutes’ walk from Princes Street and the city centre. It’s also an easy distance away from the school, only 30 minutes on foot or 10 minutes by bus.

Here you can enjoy living in a private en-suite bedroom in shared student apartments, complete with self catering facilities. All rooms have everything that is needed for comfortable living and studying even at home after classes.

This accommodation does not offer any nutrition plan, but shared apartments have kitchens that are modern and equipped with cookers, cutlery, cooking utensils.

Other facilities:

- free internet;

- bed linen provided but you will have to bring your own towels;

- washing machine;

- shared kitchen and shared living room.

Check in is on Sunday, check out is on Saturday.
