Hello everybody! I'm 14 years old. This summer i travelled to UK for 2 months alone for the 1st time! Everything was OK. It wasn't very difficult for me to communicate in English, because i had been practicing speaking with a tutor at home for 3 years.
What for the school - i liked everything! Teaching staff was very friendly and pleased, always ready to help with any question you have. As for the meal options - tasty and quite diversified menu. Territory of campus is landscaped space, an awesome place to take a bite and to talk with someone between lessons and activities. Entertaining programme offered not a wide range of options - excursions to Brighton, bowling, lasertag. If you are going to stay for about 2 months as i did than it would be boring, in my opinion. Till 16 years old guided tours are free.
Our lessons were quite interesting, a lot of speaking practice, no homework.
At school there was a mix of nationalities - most of students were from Switzerland and they communicated always with each other in their native language. My host family was good as well, no problems with them, they took me sometimes to some interesting places. Even though I hadn't always liked the food, i never remained hungry.
Weather was rather changeable even during the day, so i recommend taking warm clothes with you.
In addition, please don't send your children against his/her will - i saw such students, they felt terrible and just waited for going back home.
I would like to thank manager Ekaterina from LinguaTrip. She helped us with all the documents for the trip and visa. You can ask her any question and get an answer immediately.
