St Giles Eastbourne is a small, friendly English school based in a beautiful building, only 5-10 minutes’ walk from the town center and just moments from the beach. Our school building is surrounded by award-winning gardens and patios for relaxing outside.
Eastbourne is a friendly town on the South coast, with a population of just 90,000. It's small, safe and easy to explore. The town's reputation for being Britain’s sunniest attracts over 4 million visitors a year. Our English school is ideal for students looking for a more personal learning experience, or for younger students going abroad for the first time.
St Giles Eastbourne offers General English group lessons for students aged 14-15, which help students communicate more effectively and confidently in everyday situations and improve their speaking and listening skills.
Students under 16 years old are normally taught in separate classes to students aged 18+, but they may share their lessons with students aged 16-17.
The course fees include:
- three social and leisure events per week
- supervision and administration for under-16s
St Giles Eastbourne offers courses for non-native speaker English language teachers, who wish to improve their own English skills and develop their professional knowledge. Participants develop and explore aspects of teaching methodology and techniques, and learn to assess and utilise a variety of teaching aids and resources. There is no formal assessment, but participants can choose to prepare for the Cambridge TKT. Your level of English should be at least level B2.
This group course is designed for beginner students learning English for the first time. It is a carefully structured programme of 2-4 weeks, with 20 or 28 lessons per week.
After the course, students can progress onto a longer General English or International Semester Course at A1 (elementary) level.
The school must confirm the availability of your chosen accommodation.
If the selected housing is not available for your dates, the school will offer another accommodation option for you to consider.
I don't need housing
This popular accommodation option is the ideal choice if you want to practise your English outside the classroom and learn about British culture and way of life first hand. Homestay in Eastbourne offers:
- Carefully selected and monitored hosts, many of whom have been known to us for 10 years or more.

- All bed linen and towels provided.
- Travelling time is usually 15-30 minutes by foot.

The hotel is a short walk from the school and is set in beautiful gardens. Its facilities include a bar, lounge area, two restaurants, a heated outdoor swimming pool, a hair salon and beauty room.
The price includes breakfast or half board.
The guesthouse is located next door to the school and just a 15 minute walk from the pier. It offers elegant rooms which feature a TV, tea and coffee making facilities and complimentary Wi-Fi. The price of the room includes a Full English breakfast.
