International House Cape Town is located in the heart of the City Centre.
The school is located in the midst of shops, restaurants, banks, bars and cafés in addition to being conveniently located along taxi and bus routes. Cape Town is a vibrant area where you will find a lot of attractions and international tourists.
The school has 8 large air-conditioned classrooms, a self-study area, and free Wi-Fi. There is a chillax area and kitchen with the use of computers and a Fussball table.
Additionally to the English Language courses, International House Cape Town also offers fantastic tours and social activities.
Public Holidays 2021: 1 January, 22 March, 2, 5, & 27 April,16 June, 9 August, 24 September,16, 25 and 27 December.
The Intensive English course is 23 hours per week and consists of 15 hours of Standard English. In the afternoons students will have 8 hours per week that are skills-based lessons where they practice their skills in and for daily life situations. These 2 hours are Monday to Thursday either from 12.40-14.40 or 14.40 - 16.40.
The times of the classes are dependent on their level which will be determined on their first day of school.
Business English is the right option for students who need to use English at work or in business contexts. Business English course centres around three main areas - presentations, meetings and social exchanges. Lessons include a focus on relevant grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation, as well as on skills practice (reading, writing, speaking and listening) within a business setting.
The Standard English course is 15 hours per week and consists of 10 hours of formal group classes where the students do grammar, writing, reading, speaking and listening and 5 hours of Personal Study Programme which is time for the students to work on areas they are interested in or struggle with, have conversation groups or little projects etc. This time is very flexible but still structured for them to reach your goals as quickly as possible.
The times are usually either 8.30 - 10.30 or 10.30 - 12.30 and with the 1 hour PSP in before or after.
The school must confirm the availability of your chosen accommodation.
If the selected housing is not available for your dates, the school will offer another accommodation option for you to consider.
