ELC was founded in 2003 and has become the most awarded English language school in Australia.
Modern school is right in the heart of Sydney, close to Darling Harbour and Sydney’s major transport, tourist, shopping and entertainment districts.

This course includes 15 hours of General English + 5 hours of Special Focus module + 5 hours of Business English on Fridays + 2 hours of bonus Conversation classes (per week).
General English focuses on developing four main skills and will help you improve your communication skills and fluency and your English for a wide range of purposes like travel and work.
Special focus modules can be changed every 4 weeks and focus on: Communication, Real English, English for Further Studies, Grammar and Speaking, IELTS Testbuster, Cambridge Testbuster, Cambridge Writing, Cambridge Grammar & Vocabulary.
Business English classes include:

› Spoken communication at work
› Essential soft skills
› Workshops on specialist language for different industries and positions

For courses more than 5 weeks material fee is extra $15/week (max. $360).
Lessons are fun, lively and the emphasis is on helping students develop their oral communication skills. Social, cultural and sports activities are offered every afternoon on week days so that students discover Sydney, learn the Australian culture, practise English and have fun!

Students must submit a recent IELTS test result or complete the ELC placement test prior to acceptance onto the course. Minimum level: Intermediate.
This evening course prepares students for their IELTS examination as well as improving language and skills for academic study. Your improvement in reading, listening, writing and speaking skills, as well as your improved range and accuracy of grammar and vocabulary, will be reflected in your exam results.
The course consists of 18 hours of IELTS preparation + 2 hours of English extras + 2 hours of Conversation classes (optional) per week.
English extras can focus on: Pronunciation, Conversation, Exam skills clinics, Work Ready, Exam Reading, Listening, Speaking, Business English, English for marketing, communications, leadership and management, Excursions, Film English, Soft skills, Karaoke.
For courses more than 5 weeks material fee is extra $15/week (max. $360).

Modern, air-conditioned student apartments in an ideal location, right in the city centre, close to public transport and a 10-min walk to school.
These 3 apartments are located inside the same building on George St, opposite Central station. Each apartment welcomes 10 to 14 international students in single or twin rooms and sharing the communal areas.

Minimum stay: 2 weeks.
A credit card imprint will be required when students move in as security. A charge of up to the equivalent of 4 weeks’ rent will only be made in cases of damage to the property.

The student’s bedroom will be furnished with a single or double bed, a wardrobe, a dressing table or chest of drawers, adequate lighting and a desk.
Breakfast and dinner are included every day. Lunch is also included at the weekends.
Internet access will be made available to students at the homestay but usually at extra cost.
Bed linen and towels are provided by the host family. Students usually wash
their own personal clothing using the host’s appliances and with the host’s assistance.
