High-quality teaching is at the heart of everything that takes place at Linguaschools Madrid. Teachers bring their experience and enthusiasm to 5 bright and welcoming classrooms. School's classrooms use the latest technology to make school's classes interactive, up to date and most of all fun.
During breaks you’ll continue to converse in Spanish, either in the school or in the surrounding area, so it feels like you’re learning for far longer than the number of course hours; this makes for quick improvements.
These courses are for students who want to intensify and personalise their Spanish learning experience. They mix the personal attention of private lessons with the lively dynamic and international vibe of group lessons.
Small-group lessons provide opportunity to converse with other students and learn in a fun, stimulating environment. You can decide the subject for the individual classes. For example, you may choose to emphasise Spanish use in a business or medical environment. Or you can choose to focus on grammar, fluency, or any area in which you are weaker.
As the individual classes are adjusted to your wishes and capacity, following this course will make you learn Spanish faster. Most classes generally take place in the morning. Depending on the season and destination, classes can also be in the afternoon.
To access a University in Spain as an international student can be challenging. Your Spanish language skills might not yet be at the required level and/or you need to take a special entry exam to access the study of your choice.
School's university pathway course will help you access a Bachelor study at a university in Spain. Linguaschools will be your guide, giving both academic and administrative support along the way. First school help you get your Spanish study visa and NIE/TIE. Then Linguaschools help you get your Spanish language skills to the desired level, get the highest grade possible for the required University entry exam and finally school help you to apply for the study and/or university of your choice.
If you either want to use the maximum time to improve your Spanish and fully prepare yourself for the entry exam or if you want the most intensive course in the shortest time possible, Linguaschools have a university access preparation course that will satisfy your needs.
The Spanish university pathway programs consist of:
General Spanish course
The intensive Spanish course is the general intensive 20 Spanish language course where you have 4 lessons per day, Monday to Friday, getting your Spanish language level up to the recommended level of minimum B1-B2 before starting the classes that help you to prepare for the University entry exam.
If your student visa aproval is delayed and you cannot get to Spain in time to start the program, you can switch to an online intensive course without any extra charge.
University entry exam preparation (PCE exams)
In order to access a Bachelor’s degree at a university in Spain, most of the international students need to take the PCE exams, which are the equivalent of the PAU/EBAU/Selectividad exams. Generally, the PCE exams take place every year in May. The exam results, together with the grades on your secondary school certificate, will determine the probability to access the study of your choice.
The requirements may vary per study and per university. Before starting the course to prepare you for the university entry exam, you will have a private interview with one of school's tutors to design a personal study plan to help you achieve your personal goals. The actual exam fee is not included unless specifically stated.
School cultural activity program
During the program you can join everything school's local cultural activity program has to offer. This is a great way to not only experience the Spanish culture, but also to get to know other students. Many activities are free or have a small fee, depending on the activity or excursion.
Accommodation
In addition to the University Pathway Program, you can choose from a variety of accommodation options: from host families to shared apartments. Linguaschools ensure all accommodations are secure and provide an optimum learning environment.
If you want to experience learning Spanish in an immersion environment from the comfort of your own home or office, school offer 'Spanish online by Linguaschools'. Taught only in Spanish by native teachers this method immerses you in the language without having to travel.
School's online Spanish courses are held in user-friendly virtual platform Zoom. This can be compared with having Spanish courses by Skype or Google Hangout, but school stuff think Zoom works better for school's type of classes. You can connect from your computer or mobile device. The classes are, just like school's regular courses, conversation based while taking into account all four language skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing. Courses are available for students of all levels, ages and nationalities. This makes Linguaschools's online school an interesting meeting place for people from all over the world sharing the same goal: learning the Spanish language in a virtual immersion environment.
School's courses are taught by highly qualified and experienced native Spanish teachers, who bring their motivation and enthusiasm in to the virtual classroom. All are professionals educated on a University level. They have many years of experience in teaching Spanish to speakers of another language.
The school must confirm the availability of your chosen accommodation.
If the selected housing is not available for your dates, the school will offer another accommodation option for you to consider.
I don't need housing
With all school's shared apartments you experience life in a local city neighbourhood. Apartments are always a comfortable distance from the school and are well situated for exploring the rest of the city. Sharing with other language students and sometimes with locals means you can converse in Spanish outside the classroom.
This accommodation option provides complete independence. The kitchen, bathroom and living area are shared, while you have the privacy of your own bedroom. These apartments also offer a good value place to stay while being immersed in the Spanish or Latin American way of life. This is a great option for those looking for the opportunity to live with a variety of people from very different cultures and backgrounds. While the shared apartments have a regular cleaning service of the common areas, students are expected to take care of the day-to-day cleaning, such as washing the dishes, taking out the rubbish, etc.
