Don Quijote in Santo Domingo de Heredia is surrounded by tropical plants and palm trees so students are always in touch with nature, in keeping with the Costa Rican lifestyle.
School offers:
- 14 bright, colorful classrooms;
- Library;
- Free Wi-Fi, coffee, and tea;
- Computers for student use and study areas for laptops;
- Large kitchen and lounge area with foosball table;
- Outdoor common areas;
- Central location, cafés, restaurants, and shops all around the neighborhood;
- San José, the capital city, is a 15-min bus ride away;
- Free activities: Latin dance lessons, Costa Rican cooking classes, Costa Rican coffee workshop and tasting, visits to local food markets.
Intensive courses are perfect for students of all ages who wish to learn as quickly and efficiently as possible through constant interaction. Students will learn how to use grammar in context through a wide range of activities including reading, discussions, conversations, viewing documentaries, listening to songs, watching films, etc.
Students can choose between:
- 20 classes per week;
- 20 classes + 5 Spanish culture and conversation workshops;
- 20 classes + 5 Spanish culture and conversation workshops + 5 semi-private classes (up to 4 students).
Duration: 1 – 52 weeks.
The school must confirm the availability of your chosen accommodation.
If the selected housing is not available for your dates, the school will offer another accommodation option for you to consider.
I don't need housing
Residing with a host family will provide a truly authentic experience. Students will receive keys to the residence thus giving them the freedom and flexibility of coming and going as they please.
Includes: laundry service once a week, bed linen and blankets, WiFi.
In double rooms, the private bathroom is shared with your roommate. Double rooms only available for 2 students traveling together.
Extra days available at an additional cost. Maximum 3 days. The cost of an entire week will be charged if you need 4 or more additional days.

The teachers are excellent and very helpful to students. My classmates have really helped inspire me to continue studying. These have really been a great two weeks. I wish everyone at don Quijote happiness in the future.
