Scuola Leonardo da Vinci Turin

Located inside the elegant Palazzo Villa—Turinetti di Pertengo, the Scuola Leonardo da Vinci in Turin offers large and comfortable spaces that are accessible to all. It allows you to walk to the main attractions of the city and enjoy the liveliness of the historic venues that overlook the square.

This school's welcoming atmosphere will make you feel at home. After lessons, you can shop in Via Roma or treat yourself to a delicacy at the exclusive Caffè Torino.

An absolute plus is that the school is located in the luckiest place in Turin. Every day, the Turinese perform a propitiatory rite to have good luck by passing in front of Caffè Torino, located right under the school premises.

The administrative office staff is available for any kind of information on Turin and its surroundings, courses, and accommodation and will be happy to be a point of reference during your stay.

You can also use the Internet without charge to contact your family and friends for free.

In Turin, the classes have a maximum of 14 participants!

The intensive Italian language course is our standard course, and consists of 4 Italian lessons a day, totaling 20 lessons a week.

The lessons are held from Monday to Friday in groups of no more than 14 students, led by qualified teachers, who are passionate about their work.

The lessons begin every Monday for students that already have some knowledge of the Italian language, and every two weeks for absolute beginners.

Lessons in Leonardo da Vinci are principally based on spoken communication, but also deal with the more formal aspects of the language (lexis/vocabulary and grammar). Lots of time is dedicated to activities that encourage dialogue and discussion about various topics, from art and literature to modern city culture.

Textbooks are provided by the school and are included in the price of the course.

Start dates for total beginners 2022:

4 Jul, 20 Jul, 1 Aug, 16 Aug, 29 Aug, 5 Sep, 19 Sep, 3 Oct, 17 Oct, 31 Oct, 14 Nov, 28 Nov, 12 Dec

Turin, a city of Roman foundation, capital of the Baroque and then of the Liberty style, and today capital of design and venue of prestigious contemporary art museums, is the ideal destination to combine the study of the Italian language with the history of art.

School's art history courses aim to show, through video projections, insights and guided tours, the development of art in Italy with particular attention to its decline in Piedmont.

The course represents a unique opportunity to learn and understand the evolution of the great artistic movements and the historical and social events that accompanied them.

School's shared apartments are comfortable and welcoming, they are not always very close to school and are suitable for students of all ages. Since Turin is a university city, the number of shared apartments is limited at certain times of the year.

Living together with people from all over the world, students will be able to make new friends and continue to speak Italian even after classes but, at the same time, thanks to the comfortable accommodation in a single room, they will not have to give up their space and their own privacy. Also, you will find in Turin that the apartments are usually not occupied by more than 4-5 people. The use of the kitchen makes the shared apartment the ideal solution for those who do not want to give up cooking their own meals, to be enjoyed alone or in company.

Not far from the center or in quiet residential areas a short distance from the school, school's host families (made up mostly of ladies who live alone) offer students comfortable accommodation, with breakfast only or half board (breakfast + dinner). Since the character of the Turinese is a bit reserved, the number of host families is limited.

The coexistence between student and “family” requires the student to have a degree of flexibility and the ability to adapt to habits and lifestyles that will be different from their own. At the same time, this setting offers an unparalleled opportunity for total immersion in the language and Italian culture.

School's Turin families, despite being a bit reserved, are very kind, ready to welcome school's students and make them feel as if they were at home.
