Take an English course in Seattle, a bustling city with plenty going for it at the north-west tip of the US.
Kaplan International English - Seattle is located in the student area, with many parks, cafes and libraries. Every day something interesting happens here - a concert of a local rock band, a sports game or a party.
There are 14 modern classes with multimedia equipment, a computer lab with training programs and Internet access. The college library is filled with audio and DVD-ROMs, dictionaries, TOEFL practical tests, grammar books, as well as magazines and fiction for student use. Students of Kaplan International English can also use the local library if they wish.
Also in school you can find living rooms that are equipped with refrigerators, microwave ovens and vending machines with drinks. Here you can relax on the sofas and watch TV.

English Academic Year courses are nine-month English courses that aim to take you from your current level of English up to a very high level of fluency. As well as this general English course, you can choose an Intensive Academic Year course, in which you will study specific sections of vocabulary and skills, such as Business English and exam preparation.

Course length:
9 months (32 weeks of tuition and 2-3 weeks break)
Course structure:
- 20 lessons (15 hours) of General English: focus on the four main aspects of language: reading, writing, listening, and speaking;
- 7 sessions (5.25 hours) of K+ tools, K+eXtra and K+ clubs: Self-study time with access to exclusive materials and resources along with personalized sessions for you study the areas you most need help with, including exam techniques and study group work.
All courses are Monday-Friday, with morning and afternoon classes and each lesson lasts 45 minutes.
The school must confirm the availability of your chosen accommodation.
If the selected housing is not available for your dates, the school will offer another accommodation option for you to consider.

You can learn about the life of people from the inside, practice English every day, eat home food, and also participate in many family events and see places that other participants may not even see.

Kaplan can arrange apartment housing for students in a great location, close to the Kaplan Seattle Center. This offer consists of a fully furnished studio apartment in a neighbouring area of Seattle. The apartment provides bed, linens, a closet, and a desk or table for study. The apartment is within a short distance of public
transportation and a short bus ride to the Kaplan Seattle Center.
Type of accommodation:
Single studio with private bath and kitchen.
Kitchen/cooking facilities:
Students will have their own kitchen in the apartment with basic dishes and utensils. Appliances can vary based on size and price of apartment.
Rooms:
Furnished with a bed, linens, a closet and a desk or table for study. In the studios, the bedroom is combined with the living room.
Bathrooms:
There is a private bathroom in each suite with a tub, shower, sink and toilet.
Utilities:
Electricity, gas and water are included in the accommodation fee. The Electrical Current is 110/120 volts. Students from some countries will require a transformer or adaptor.
Internet and phone:
Students are provided with phone access in each room. There is hard wired Internet available. Additional charges of $40 per month or $15 per week apply.
There is no wi-fi in the building but students can use free internet service at the business center.
Laundry:
Coin-op laundry is located in the property for use. Cost is approximately $2.50 per load.
Security and keys:
Students will be provided with a key to the apartment when they check in. The Vermont Inn has controlled access to the building and students must have keys to get in. There are no security codes. Security guards will patrol on a regular basis around the neighborhoods, but usually only at night.
Noise and restrictions
Students are requested to be
considerate to their neighbors and keep noise levels to a minimum, especially after 10 pm.
