English Language Institute in downtown San Francisco offers free elective classes, fun student activities and field trips.
The school is located at One Embarcadero Center, amid dazzling architecture, shopping, restaurants and theaters, just a short walk from the San Francisco Ferry Building, Pier 39, the TransAmerica Pyramid Building, North Beach and the beautiful San Francisco Bay waterfront. One of San Francisco’s historic cable cars stops only one block from the school.
Each class is equipped with the necessary equipment to conduct a lesson. There is a student lounge available with an eating area, microwaves and a refrigerator for convenience. School also offers mobile computer lab available for faculty and student use.
This course is four days per week and teaches speaking, reading, writing, listening, grammar and pronunciation in a fun, interactive environment.
This course also includes access to a free elective class each day, such as Business English, Public Speaking, Pronunciation, Slang and more. Electives change each quarter according to student interest.
The course starts every Monday except: 30.03, 29.06, 21.09, 21.12, 28.12.

The core program that focuses on the four main skills while developing each student’s individual grammar and vocabulary. Lessons are taught using a task-based method involving topics and themes from everyday life. We use a central course book and workbook for each level and our teachers supplement these using authentic materials and a suitable use of technology.

ELI offers a unique course — Business English for Entrepreneurs — focusing on entrepreneurship and business English skills. This is a project-based course where students develop their business ideas, network with entrepreneurs and professionals from around the world, explore Silicon Valley, learn how to launch their own startup and improve their English at the same time!
Students will learn about the principles of innovation in Silicon Valley, work to develop a concept, conduct market research, and create and implement a business plan. Students will practice pitching their ideas to investors and other business professionals in English at the end of the course.
