We went to Twin with a group of students from our city. The school is excellent, located in the Greenwich area in a modern and beautiful building. The location is close to bus stops, cafes, grocery stores and park. On the ground floor there is a dining room where you can buy coffee and a sandwich. Host families are almost all far from school, we left home an hour before classes, sometimes reached for half an hour, and sometimes even late, but it is rather due to the specific transport system of London. We had a great family, a woman and her two children. They didn't mind that we came home late and the host always left us dinner:) for Breakfast we were first offered cereal and toast with Nutella but after 3 days of such food we politely asked Allison to buy us cheese and ham. So don't be afraid to chat with the host family and ask them about smth you need. I got into the Upper-intermediate group, it is assumed that you already know all the grammar and on the lessons you learn punctuation, pronunciation and vocabulary. In our group there was one more Russian - speaking student, many students from Turkey, one from Sweden and from Brazil - an excellent cultural exchange. We talked on a variety of topics in the classroom, it was always fun! I was upset by the excursions from the school that we booked for our Russian group. An activity leader simply led us to the sights and said: "This is Buckingham Palace" - no history and explanations. After three such excursions, we realized that it was a waste of time and abandoned them. I also booked a visa support from LinguaTrip. Manager translated all documents, the visa was given without any problems. It was my first visit to London and I liked it very much, so I will soon go there again for language courses....

I went to London for just a week, so for me it was more tourism than studying, but I chose an intensive English course. In the main course I studied English with a teacher called Darius, he’s just WOW! The classes were really cool and interesting, everyone was involved in the process and besides the textbook classes, there were all sorts of games where we worked in teams or in pairs. The second subject I had was “English for work”. It wasn’t so good, to be honest. I was aware how diverse our class was when it came to their English levels; some could barely speak or understand the tasks at hand. The teacher didn’t care about this difference in levels. She could give us a writing exercise, which the students who had a lower level of English were doing in around 40 minutes, and at that time we were falling asleep. So, if you’re going there for a week, take a regular course. The one-week intensive English course won’t be helpful for you, and you’ll waste a lot of time and money. Another weakness is that I’m 22 years old, and all my classmates were older than 35, just one girl was 19. It’s obvious that we have different views on life because of the age difference, so being in their company wasn’t interesting for me. If you’re Upper-Intermediate in English, be ready for the English teachers from different countries who came just to improve their qualification, and they’re usually from Turkey. We had 60% of these kinds of teachers in our group so the pronunciation practice wasn’t so good. I chose a host family with lunch and dinner included and it was my biggest mistake. You never know which family you’ll get. I was “lucky” to get into an Indian family. I think I don’t need to tell what accent they had. If you got into this kind of family, be ready to eat cereal for breakfast, and spicy rice with unfrozen intermediate goods or without anything. It’s just insane, guys. I’d better just rent a room without meals and for the remaining money I could eat in restaurants. Another fascinating story is that I lost 50 pounds on the first day. I don’t know if it was in the house or somewhere else, but since it happened, I was carrying all my money on me. Tip: don’t bring a lot of cash. 100 pounds is enough for one week. You need cash for buying the tickets for entertainments in school only, because they don’t accept cards. I didn’t buy Oyster because I had an international card from a Russian bank. If you’re paying by card, your money will be taken without any commission. Apple pay works in all the restaurants, stores and transports. I was buying lunch in Sainsbury’s store, which is 2 minutes away from the school. It costs approximately 3-4 pounds. I’d suggest you buy the tickets for London Eye, Madam Tussauds etc right in the school, it’s two times cheaper. I arrived to the Heathrow airport and didn’t take any shuttle service. If you were at Moscow’s subway at least once and know English a little bit then you’ll get London’s subway easily and save a lot of money. I downloaded the Citymapper app. While at home in Russia, I checked the way from the airport to the destination and saved it. The app works offline. I didn’t buy a local sim-card as well. There’s free Wi-Fi almost everywhere in London: in museums, shops, in the school, at home and even in London eye. In general, besides all the downsides, I feel satisfied. 1. Darius is really cool. I was gladly waking up every morning at 7 am and running to his lessons. 2. I met a girl from Belgium on the first day there. We got very close during our stay, and we were hanging out daily in London after school. 3. I’m almost done with my list of places in London. 4. It was a really cool experience....

Before going for the trip I took a language level test provided by Linguatrip, which showed B1 level. On my first day at school I did another test with a speaking part. According to the results I was put into Upper-Intermediate group (B2). The lessons were quite interesting, but too easy for me as I had already learned most of the vocabulary. I asked my teacher Darius to let me change the level. After my brief talk on the given topic with teacher, I was allowed to attend classes in C1 group. It was much more effective, and most students were of the same level. If you feel like the lessons at you level are too simple, don't hesitate to ask for changing it, as I did. I came to learn something new after all. I lived with a host family, with the mother and her little child. The location was perfect: 20 min walk from the school , 10min walk from the subway, and around 40-50 min from the city center. I booked everyday's breakfast and supper. Usually there were cereals and orange juice for breakfast and prepared foods from the supermarket for supper, warmed beforehand. If themeals were cooked, appeared to be too spicy. But I didn't feel hungry anyway, that's important. I also booked a transfer from the airport. I was met in time on my arrival in the airport, but on the way back the company forgot about my booking. As a result, only after an hour's talk between my host and the manager, they provided me with the car. Quite unpleasant moment, but I wasn't late for my flight, at least. Thanks to the staff of Linguatrip for organising my first trip on my own, it was a great experience!...

I chosed Twin because in my estimation it was at the intersection of price and quality, and also a big plus was that the percentage of Russian speakers was minimal. The school really justified itself: cozy rooms, good equipment, interesting books. On the ground floor there's a cafe (in which you can get a coupon for free coffee or tea), and around the school there are other cafes, pizzerias and kebab cafes (but there they only take cash). In my opinion one of the best cafes is "Pret A Manger". They've a great variety of food for a small amount, you can eat on the spot or take with you, and you can also buy soup (it was very important for me). I took a course for the morning hours. All the groups were made according to the level of knowledge of English. The assessment of language skills was conducted in two stages: a test on the computer and a conversation with the testing teacher. During testing, your wishes are taken into account that's in what you would like to focus on English courses (grammar, conversation, listening). I was identified as a group by Bobby. He's a very good teacher. The lessons were interesting and active, we talked a lot, played and worked in teams. Also I want to note that for the first day after testing gets free lunch for new students. I advise you not to miss it because, there you can get acquainted with the guys and immediately assemble the company for walks after the lessons. Every day from school there was a small program for the evening, but I took only a trip to Oxford on Saturday. The group for the trip was formed from all those who wanted the students of the school, we were accompanied by one of the teachers. I lived in a host-family from Twin. It's the Guimba-Stewart family. A good family, from time to time treated me to dinner (I paid only for breakfast), sometimes drove me to school in the morning....

When I came to school on the first day, I was amazed by the view of the center in which the school is located. About the school: it is located in a quiet area called Greenwich on the 2nd floor of a modern office. The school is spacious, has numerous classrooms and computers to do homework online. My teachers were Bobby and David – nice and interesting people, I had other teachers and didn’t like them that much. Our lessons were conducted with an exercise book, so once you come to a group, you get to a specific topic that a group has now. I had just 3 weeks course, consequently, I have studied only small part of a book which is inefficient. There are copious students from all over the world, ones come to practice, the other ones to study. About living: I have lived in 20 minutes from a school, in a quiet area. There were two of us in a house: a host and me – I liked that since it is more convenient and tranquil. I had a breakfast and a dinner. I could make some cereal and toasts for a breakfast and different meals such as chicken, pasta, salads with fish sticks for a dinner. My room was small but cozy. There was a little inconvenience in a bathroom: the water pressure was weak. In general, I was satisfied with living conditions. About the school’s entertaining program: the school has offered various programs every day: I participated in some, not visited the other ones. Sometimes they didn’t collect enough people to open an event. In general, I have walked alone, that is, I picked a place I want to visit, and went there by myself or with other students. I loved the spacious and cozy parks, there are a lot of people there at weekends because London’s citizens go there for a picnic. I just walked along the streets since the architecture in this city is amazing. I am grateful to Linguatrip’s team for this trip: I took visa services, which was a good idea – I didn’t have to think about documents and find out how to apply for a visa. Unfortunately, the consulate was busy during the summer, it took a month to get my visa. My manager also answered any questions I had and helped to solve any issues. Everything was great. ...

For my first trip to London I chose Twin language school in Greenwich area. On the first day we were told about the school rules and were conducted a school tour. We were also told how to use transport in London and were advised on what applications to install and so on. Then we had a test and started to study. The great advantage is that the school really cares about its students and acts primarily in their interests. You can always get help and answer for any question. The school organises some activities or tours every day which are either free or paid. It is more profitable to take excursions at the school than purchasing them yourself. At the moment there are almost no Russian students in the school, so there is no temptation to speak your native language:) The school also provides students with some kind of student ticket, though it warns about the possibility that it will not be accepted everywhere. In practice wherever I showed that ticket I got a discount, so you should definitely take with you. I am satisfied with the studying. I took three-hour morning classes which passed unnoticed. Once a month the teacher is changed. If you are not sure of your level, you can always discuss it with the teacher and change the group as well as take additional classes. The Twin School is located in zone 2 next to the Greenwich Park, North Greenwich and Cutty Sark stations. I booked accommodation in the same area near the school and eventually bought a travel card just for zones 1 and 2. In my opinion, it is more convenient to pay a little more for housing and save time and money for travel to and from school (as transportation in London is very expensive). By the way, if you like a school, but there is no suitable accommodation, you can always discuss it with Linguatrip managers. For example, manager Alex chose a suitable apartment specially for me."...

I loved everything so much! I have been being under the great impression for two weeks after my trip and dreaming about coming back there again. My school was located 13 km from the city center, and special small and calm world is created thanks to that location, nothing can distract you from your studies. New students arrive on Mondays, so did we. Moreover, everyone was so welcoming: first, they showed us a school, then we were invited to a table with some snacks. I’ve never seen something like this before) The groups of students aren’t big at school, the teachers are British. So I had a chance to learn the culture of communication. The classes were very interesting, something new happened every day. The main feature is their own methods of teaching and personal approach. The teachers tried to keep everyone interested, they also monitored our success and failures. A school is located compactly on the same floor. Probably, that is why school atmosphere is calm, kind and hearty. I felt so homey there. I stayed with host family. The breakfasts and dinners were included in price, but I have left a day before, so 3 meals were left. So I have a wish: it would be great if homestay would make a light lunch to go in such cases: bottle of water, sandwiches, etc. I think, it would please everyone, including me. In general, I liked it. I will come again for sure! Thank you, Linguatrip.com for this amazing journey! ...

Thank you! My son, Sasha, liked his trip very much. Unfortunately he didn't attend school events, because he wanted to explore London by himself and visit all the places he was reading about when he was child. He has only good impressions of teachers and school. He was praised and recomendated to practice more. his host family was helping him with it: every day they were asking him about his day in school. We appreciate your work and would gladly go for another trip!...

The school has a huge, spacious library on the ground floor, which is free for all students. In my class, there were 3 people, but in some groups, depending on the level, there were up to 10 students. There are school's excursions and activities available every day....

Everything was great. ...

I really liked the trip. The weather was nice all the time. All language teachers are funny and interesting people. The school is in a good location, all study rooms are well equipped for the lessons. In addition, the school gives discounts for excursions. I went to Brighton and Cambridge and I was happy with everything. I also got along well with the host family, my room was clean and cozy....
