I’ve been there for two weeks and this trip reversed my attitude toward learning English. Before this trip English was mostly a necessity to me, but after it turned out to be a love. After my studies, I started to look for a job where I can practice my English every day.
Even though everyone speaks English, everything is clear. Students around you speak in the different ways, they came to study as well, so it creates the unrepeatable atmosphere when no one hesitates their mistakes while speaking. After passing a test, students are divided into groups. If you feel that this group is not apt for your level and you don’t improve your skills, you can address to a director and ask for a higher level group.
I’ve been there during May’s holidays, I had two Russians in my group though. I think there are not so much of us the other time. But that didn’t obstruct my studies. Our group was multinational, some of my classmates came for 6 months, I envy them!)
I liked the way the lessons are conducted in this school. We have always played some games, talked to each other, checked our home tasks and tried to explain the correct answer. Compared to Russian schools I have studied in, a teacher there just speaks to each student in the course. But here it is all about the connection between students. A teacher explains grammar rules and gives topics to speak, parse mistakes. Thereby a lesson goes intensively and time flies insensibly. Now I am dreaming to find the same school in Saint-Petersburg! Please, text me if you know any!)
The school is located in the city center, it is convenient to go for a walk after classes. They have rooms for students on higher floors. A food in school is decent as well. A huge meal you can literally pig out with costs just 5 pounds. Such a price is cool for England.
Most people write that there is no point in going there for one week. I strongly agree! I missed the first and the last day of my course since tests took a big part of both days.
I will definitely come there again!
