Of course, I am going to write about my impressions after my trip to London and training in St. Giles. I'll start, perhaps, with the most important aspect - the family in which I lived. I cannot describe with words how happy I was with my host family. Right after my arrival, we found a common language, we chatted very often, thank them in particular for helping me to overcome my language barrier. The family was too friendly, helped me with any issues that I had. Special thanks I can say about the food. Even if I woke up at around 12 o'clock on the weekend, Katerina was always ready to make breakfast for me. Every evening she pleased us with something new, unusual. There were wonderful meals for dinner! In the afternoon, I practically did not have to go anywhere to eat (because breakfast and dinner in the family were enough for me, maybe, sometimes I had only a small snack). In general, for accommodation, I give 10 out of 10! Now a little about the school, in which I studied exactly 4 weeks. Impressions are only positive too! Teachers are sympathetic, kind, and the main lessons were not a waste of time at all. Each lesson gave the maximum of positive and informative. With teachers, you communicate with friends, which is very pleasing. They will also help with any questions. I always was in communication with my classmates, like walking after school together, going to the park, shopping or sightseeing. Ideal vacation. Special thanks to Linguatrip for this trip! Everything was at the highest level, starting with the visa, ending with my trip. Yeah, now I'm very interested in consulting on education in Europe or the USA (I cannot decide on the country). I have read and learned a lot about it. I think of applying for the Foundation program in one of the universities. But I cannot define the country, the university itself, and, of course, I need help with the enrollment to the university itself....

I’ve been there for two weeks and this trip reversed my attitude toward learning English. Before this trip English was mostly a necessity to me, but after it turned out to be a love. After my studies, I started to look for a job where I can practice my English every day. Even though everyone speaks English, everything is clear. Students around you speak in the different ways, they came to study as well, so it creates the unrepeatable atmosphere when no one hesitates their mistakes while speaking. After passing a test, students are divided into groups. If you feel that this group is not apt for your level and you don’t improve your skills, you can address to a director and ask for a higher level group. I’ve been there during May’s holidays, I had two Russians in my group though. I think there are not so much of us the other time. But that didn’t obstruct my studies. Our group was multinational, some of my classmates came for 6 months, I envy them!) I liked the way the lessons are conducted in this school. We have always played some games, talked to each other, checked our home tasks and tried to explain the correct answer. Compared to Russian schools I have studied in, a teacher there just speaks to each student in the course. But here it is all about the connection between students. A teacher explains grammar rules and gives topics to speak, parse mistakes. Thereby a lesson goes intensively and time flies insensibly. Now I am dreaming to find the same school in Saint-Petersburg! Please, text me if you know any!) The school is located in the city center, it is convenient to go for a walk after classes. They have rooms for students on higher floors. A food in school is decent as well. A huge meal you can literally pig out with costs just 5 pounds. Such a price is cool for England. Most people write that there is no point in going there for one week. I strongly agree! I missed the first and the last day of my course since tests took a big part of both days. I will definitely come there again!...

It is an excellent school in the very center of the city - sights are within walking distance. At the beginning of each week, students discuss with the teacher what they are going to study during the week and which topics are not clear enough and require more practice. The school staff is very helpful, they are always ready to meet students' halfway and try to help with any issue. St. Giles London organizes a social program for students which includes trips to different parts of the UK and Europe, but it is not always cheaper and more profitable than when going independently. Talking about accommodation, I had booked a course only 2 days before the trip, so I had to relocate, because the residences were overcrowded. The first week I lived in the residence of St. Giles. It is located on the upper floors of the school, which is very convenient. I was provided with a large room with a kettle and a TV set (channels with subtitles were just what I needed before going to bed), a huge roof terrace and daily cleaning; breakfast in the cafe was included. Disadvantages: one bathroom for 4 rooms, no kitchen, only microwave. Then I have moved to Somerset Court. Advantages: most students live there, there is a kitchen and a laundry. Disadvantages: 20 minutes walking distance from the school, the kitchen was very dirty (maybe I just wasn't lucky, as in the next rooms block it was clean), TV is available only in the lobby (and 2 weeks out of three it even didn't work). In general, I did like everything and I want to tell thanks to all the Linguatrip managers for the quick selection of the course!...

About studying: My goal was to improve the overall level of English and prepare for the IELTS exam. During the training, I attended almost all the courses that are in school. If you don't like the subject or teacher, you can easily change them (if therefree space in another group). It is very convenient. But in my period of study there were no available seats. I could only transfer to another group to prepare for the IELTS exam. It is important to get a good teacher! 1) General English course was interested and useful. We have expanded the vocabulary by discussing various topics from daily life. For example, topics such as home improvement, books, movies, etc. It was an easy, relaxed form of training. The teachers were nice. 2) I left the Academic English course for the second day. The teacher was very tedious. We sat and read scientific articles. I think it's a waste of time. 3) Business English is the best and most useful course for me. The teacher's name was Steve. His lessons were energetic, effective and well organized. We learned business vocabulary and discussed a variety of topics. I advise everyone to attend this course. 4) I think I had the wrong teachers to prepare for the IELTS exam. They often changed, so the structure of learning was broken. But the students told me that there is another teacher and many of them praised her. I don't remember her name. But I believe that she is the only chance for those who want to prepare well for the exams. I can say that this school is not the best place to prepare for the IELTS exam and to prepare for admission to universities in the UK (especially for the money I paid). But I wasn't at any other school. They didn't spend enough time on grammar. But if you want to improve only the conversational level of English and expand the vocabulary, then this school will suits you. About school and leisure: The school building is located in the city center, near the metro and bus stops. People are friendly and always ready to help. Russian citizens were few in October. Most of the students were from South America, Asia, Italy and Switzerland. In the UK it was hard to find food suitable for me, so I ate in the school canteen 70% of the time. Mostly the food was delicious. Activities: I advice to buy tickets at the school. It is cheaper and more convenient. The school offers a variety of excursions. And also we visited bars every Friday. You need to make an OYSTER student card that will save you £ 70. In conclusion, I want to say that this school is normal, if you don't expect anything special from it. But if you want to learn English perfectly, you better find another school. ...

Excellent, budget school in London. Near the school there is a park and a metro station. The school has its own dining room with budgetary food prices, which is very convenient to eat after classes, when you go for a walk to the city centre. Fantastic view on the terrace (on the roof of the school). Excellent and friendly teachers, and the school administration, which is ready to help at any moment. At the end, I received a certificate of my level of language and success. A2 The host family was a bit far from the school and I had to travel by bus. But it's okey for me...

For my opinion, It is one of the best schools in London. I have studied at different schools in London before (3 more), in comparison with previous schools St. Giles has really high level for studying. Staff is very friendly and helpful. If you don't like teacher's way of teaching you can change your class (just speak with assistant of director). I didn't use any accommodation service, I had mine, so I can't tell you anything about it. But other students were happy with their Host Families. Every day after lessons they have excursions, art club, reading, discussion club and Friday party. Sometimes with teachers who cared about us. I enjoyed my studying and my English improved much better than I even expected. ...

I enjoyed my studying and my English improved much better than I even expected. ...

I chose a school where I will have a lot of students from different countries. My colleagues recommended me St Giles. I thought that a school in Central London will have a lot of students from my country but there were a lot of people from Japan, China and Brazil. I lived in a very good homestay and I liked it a lot! I will come back in summer!...
