EC Malta is the only one English school on Malta, where I could find classes dividing on minimum age: 30+ and 50+. Only people who are over 30 or over 50 can enter these classes. Arguments for division are pretty reasonable. 30 year old people usually pay themselves for their studying, while 18 year old students get their studying paid by their parents. Such students usually don't care about studying, they only do care about bars and entertainment. I had spoken with a 29 year old girl from regular classes, who really wanted to transfer to “30+” group. Turns out, that almost all young students in her group were coming to classes sleepy and not sober. They didn’t really want to study, so, as a result she didn’t have anyone to work with in pairs, resulting in, she had problems with listening and recognizing accents. Quite the opposite was in “30+” groups. Everyone wanted to study, communicate, help each other and get to know something new. Crazy mix of different nationalities, cultures, professions and life experiences: policeman from Germany, elementary school teacher from France, farmer from Brazil, pilot from Austria. Of course, we also went to the bars, drank some drinks and danced, but in moderation. I think, I can call myself lucky for being over 30 for the first time in my life. I’d been studying 30 hours per week (intensive course), plus extra free classes, plus homework - about 32~34 hours/week in total (or about 6~7 hours per day). Timetable at school was variable: half of the week classes start at 9am, rest of the week - at 1pm. Such flexibility lets you include work hours into your studying weeks (since we talk about “30+” groups). Sometimes, I had spare time for work projects and sport, while I spent my time on weekends walking around the neighborhood. There are a lot of places which you can visit on Malta: wonderful views and bays, rich history and culture (365 churches!). Of course, also clubs, bars and casinos. You won’t get bored!...

I really liked the organization of the educational process, everything was on the high level. There were a lot of entertainments, such as breakfast, excursions and so on. Also, there was the convenient location of the school in the city center, a convenient schedule of studies, one day in the morning, another after lunch, the international composition of the group, the game form of training. I got only positive emotions remained !!...

The course began with not-so-successful transfer. Despite the fact that I sent you the address where I should have been brought, they brought me to school at 8.00. The driver claimed that further transfer was a problem of the school. There was nobody at the school at that time. I didn't want to sit there for an hour waiting for someone to come. So I decided to reach the address myself, the good thing is it was just 10 minutes away. I don't understand why that driver didn't took me there, even though I paid for it. Then, I was placed into the Elementary group. I believed that my level was probably like that. But no. I got bored, I knew all of the material. I waited for it to be more interesting, but I realized that it won't. It was possible to pass the test in advance before arrival. I wouldn't come if I knew they would place me into that group. In general, the school was good. The teachers were very nice, friendly, and professional....

So many different activities in the school! There were teachers at school with a terrible Maltese accent, so I changed the group. In another group there were native speakers instead, they were cool. The school was great! The only thing I didn't like was the test.

I just loved everything! This experience really impressed me, definitely wanna do it again. Despite the fact that initially I wanted to go to London, but my visa got rejected, I’m really happy that I was able to come to Malta and to this school in particular. Now I’m a LinguaTrip’s newsletter subscriber. Just yesterday I bought a ticket to LinguaFest and am coming to Saint Petersburg from Tbilisi for only one day. I totally recommend this company to everyone. Wanna try to get a visa one more time and go to London) Thanks a lot Linguatrip!...

I liked the school and the course very much, the teachers were professional, the tasks were interesting. Two weeks was, of course, very little to increase the level of the language, but I couldn’t go for a longer period. It was possible to relax and have a fun. As a result, I had an unusual vacation. I liked everything very much. Already planning a trip to London....

The "vacation" part was great, but the "study" part wasn't. They say that your level is lower (on purpose), but put a higher level on your certificate. Probably, just worrying about their reputation....
