The school itself is located conveniently, there is a big choice of buses which ride to the school, and if you wish, you can easily get there on foot. The only drawback was a big amount of Russian-speakers, most likely it was due to the beginning of the hot season...

I lived in the residence. Conditions are quite bearable. And when you live with representatives of different countries, it is a good exchange of ""food culture"".

As for the entertainment program in the school, I can't say anything, since I did not take part in. We organized our leisure time ourselves, it's more convenient because you do not depend on anyone.

I really satisfied with a trip to Malta's school got a boost of energy...

I want to share me review on Inlingua Malta. The trip was pleasant. Linguatrip is the best! The school arranged everything I expected and planned. I recommend - not to go in summer if you want to have a nationality mix. April, May, yes any months is not important from June to August. After all, I want to communicate with the guys from other countries, learn about their culture, learn to understand English and get rid of the accent.

I had a good teacher, the group on the level I have come up perfectly. But again, not all my friends were happy with their teachers. A tip for anyone who wants to go to learn a language - try to choose not the peak time of summer. Another tip: do pre arrival test in advance, the link is in confirmation, so you will save time on the first training Monday, get your tutorials right away and go to the group.

Excursions were possible at school, I only took one - in Mdina, I liked it, I wanted not only to learn English in Malta but to get information about the city and about Malta as a whole from the guide. Accommodation - everything according to expectations, that's what the photos were when booking the room - and in reality. Everything is very ascetic and budget, I have everything arranged. The pool in the residence opened a little earlier on June 1st. .

The trip remained very pleased, thank you LinguaTrip I would once again gladly go learn English in Malta

As for me, the school was satisfactory because I am not used to this type of education when you basically speak. If I could have afforded to stay in that school for longer, I would have liked the school more. My first week, I studied on level 2.1 (their own system of classifying levels of English). I liked everything. I almost understood everything, but I didn’t speak a lot (it’s difficult for me).

On my second week, I decided to try to study on a level below. I thought that maybe I would get more bits of knowledge for myself. In that new class, everything was very unclear to me because it was unorganized and noisy. Actually, I didn’t learn anything new but I sat next to Korean with whom I talked all the time). Most of all I liked talking to native speakers, sitting with them in bars, traveling on different Islands. This accommodation was one of the best what I had for my English because I talked to my roommates, who have a higher level of English, all the time.

School’s entertainment program was “Malta 5D” that didn’t amaze anyone. Other programs were available for extra paying but I was recommended to not to use this option because it’s cheaper and more interesting to organize something on your own.

Summing up: as for now, I am not ready for this kind of study. If I had more time, at least a few months, and I could go over everything, I would be happy to study at this school. In my opinion, at this school, the organization of education is not really adapted to those students that come for a short-term period and have way different knowledges of the language.

So, I liked the rest but I won’t go to this school again because I want to try different schools. Next time I definitely will consult with LinguaTrip team and analyze schools’ programs instead of paying attention to the price only))

excellent

I liked Malta. First of all nice climate, convenient public transport, English native speakers, safety, etc.

School was very good, everything is thought out thoroughly, any issue is solved for a few minutes. There are various excursions by school (they are cheaper than purchasing them by yourself), etc. However, there are some disadvantages. For example, right before the first lesson they gave us a test. I spent 5-6 minutes on 20 questions out of 90, they took a test blank away and asked to enter a class. A test turned out to mean nothing and they put me in English 1 Step 1 Group, where I had to learn what an apple and a grape means. Right after my first lesson I asked to transfer me in a higher level group, so next day I was in English 2 Step 1 Group. Firstly, we had a good teacher in this group, but then they switched her on the one with horrible accent. Afterwards, almost all guys in our group changed over English 2 Step 2 Group, so our latest teacher was good again.

Living in a residence is comfortable, I had all I needed in a suit. It’s been 6 people in 3 bedrooms (2 persons per room), 2 bathrooms and 1 kitchen. But here are some drawbacks: it takes 50 min by foot and 20 min by bus to get to a school. Also I got the residence keys only on the fourth day after my address to school management even though I have asked residence management a lot of times to make a duplicate. They told me they don’t have enough time to do that, (but frankly speaking, the man responsible for keys was wasted in the afternoon and completely drunk by evening).

Summary: Malta is an amazing choice for a trip, but only in the case if you love beach holidays and the Middle Ages. You shouldn’t think that Malta is cheaper than any other possible options. (Why did I choose Malta? My visas to the UK and the US were denied).

My studying passed perfectly well, despite the fact that I could not be immediately identified in the right group (as a result, I studied in the first week with two teachers and the last two weeks with a third teacher). Vanessa is a great teacher! :) The main rebuke was about the student's books, I still did not understand why they are given on the first day of training (somewhere I read the information that student's books are given only on the third day, when it becomes clear that the student was correctly identified in the right group) and then problems with the student's exchange appear (eventually everything worked out the way I wanted: I was changed to the level I needed).

Speaking about the residence I have only a negative feedback: the first 1.5 weeks I lived on the first floor with 4 roommates. Very cold, damp room with the smell of mold. Very dirty public places: kitchen and shower room, and also, very tight bedrooms for two. Cleaning was once a week and it was a very poor quality, we took out the garbage ourselves by turns. The other 1.5 weeks I lived in the opposite building, on the 3rd floor (it was very difficult to lift and then lower the suitcase, no one offered any help) together with a girl from Korea. In terms of cleanliness and lack of odors, everything was normal (although cleaning, which came once, did not even wash the bathroom and did not rub the table, but simply changed the linen on one of the beds). There was one very important minus for me in this building !! Every Friday and Saturday, on the first floor of this building, a night bar with cheap alcohol opened its doors. All the tables were booked in advance, a very popular place, both for students and for local residents! As a result, at night from Friday to Saturday and from Saturday to Sunday, sleep was not supposed at all, because a loud music was heard all night long as well as the drunken cries of visitors (I slept in ear plugs :))) The hotel staff was almost always in a light alcohol intoxication or after it (theirs English speech was very difficult to understand), at the reception they were enough rarely, but on the phone calls reacted quickly.

In general, for me it was a very cool experience! Unfortunately, «full immersion» in the language environment did not happen, because especially in early May there was a new arrival of students, and among of them almost 90% were Russian speakers (I was lucky, and in my group there were only two of them and only in the last week). I made certain conclusions, and in my next trip like this, I will try not to make these mistakes.

What about the work of your company Linguatrip: I was not very satisfied with it, because the first manager Lydia, as far as I understood, ""forgot"" to transmit the information about me to another manager Sofia and I called by myself and told her about me. Sofia was not very interested in working with me and mostly I did not get help from her. Sometimes she didn’t answer my phone calls and in the end, I contacted Alexei. He practically did not react to my emails. I had to solve the issues with the postponement of my flight on my own, and the information about moving the dates of my residence and study was definitely unknown until the last day (although I informed Alexei about this incident in a week).

Aigul, I express my gratitude to you for your work. You showed yourself as a person who is interested in your clients, despite the fact that I ""got you"" at the very end. :))) Thank you very much, with you I had the confidence that everything will go well and that at any moment I can write to you and you will answer me."

I’ve arrived full of impressions. The school is super cool. Teachers too. There were some small issues, but it was insignificant (not very good internet, because there is only one internet provider in Malta; and it would be better if russian-speaking people were not settled in the same room in a residence). As I’ve already said it was insignificant. Basically, everything was pleasant.

In general, I liked everything. I agree with people who say that 2 weeks seem very short. But in order to motivate myself to learn English it was enough.

The school was great, however, there were a lot of Russians. But I got lucky and I was studying in my group with a couple from Venezuela, a couple from Brazil, a guy from Peru, and one Japanese girl, our teacher was from Britain.

What about residence (it was located in St. Julian's). There were very big problems with the internet, Wi-Fi was awful. We'd got to go to McDonald's in order to communicate with relatives. Fortunately, it was nearby. By the way, school's Wi-Fi was great.

Well, it would have been great if the rooms had been cleaned more often. Not once a week as it was in our case.

The outlets are not like in Russia :) google it anyway :)

The transit. The transit from our residence to the school is 1,5 euros by bus. As it turned out, the bus pass was not very profitable for students who study less than a month.

The cost of the ferry sailing from Sliema to Valletta is 1.5 euros too, and you arrive in the capital in 3 minutes. Don't waste the time on the bus.

Linguatrip. Thank you for the given opportunity to learn the language in its environment.

Hmm ... Impressions of Inlingua are mediocre.

Let's start with the cons:

1. I booked a triple apartment, but was placed in the six-bed. On my question of resettlement, the answer was no seats. Receptionist Steve just gave his apologizes and that's all. Also he did not have a spare key, that is why all the first week I could enter the room only when someone was in there.

2.There are very few Russians in this school? NO. That is not true. Four Russian speakers in my room and two Russians in my class. And in general, there are a lot of Russian speakers in the whole school.

3. Bad definition of English level in school. Constantly everyone changes classes. You need to do something with this.

4. Malta is a very expensive country (for me personally), although a German from my class said that it was much cheaper than they have in Germany.

5. At my request to change the class in the second week, I was told that everything is full. And this does not work out.

6. Only american plugs (with three flat pins). You need to buy an adapter (3 euros).

Pros:

1. Blue Lagoon and the island of Gozo are very beautiful places.

2. The teacher is good (Martiz). But with a strong accent.

3. I raised my vocabulary and made a lot of acquaintances.

4. Quite a cheap course.

Malta is an interesting country, with plenty of places to visit. There are various national dishes. If you like making amazing pictures or admiring the beauty of landscape, Malta is the right choice for you.

About the school:

I have studied for 2 weeks and rented a room in the Silema Marina Hotel by myself, it took me 1 minute of walk to get to the school.

Pluses:

There is a supermarket, a minimarket, boutiques, and a lot of restaurants and fast food stands near the school. Discounts are given to the students with a school card in almost all nearby places. The school is six-storied, and it has marker boards. Also, there is an interactive media room or a computer class on each floor. It is clean and tidy. I have not been in a residence, but according to the other students’ reviews it is not good, but cheaper than hotels and apartments.

Everyone is friendly from the reception to the director. But I don’t think that if you are annoying and testy, they will tolerate. It is better to be always polite and smiling. I had great teachers. Davina is British with nice and clear English accent, and she does like her job. Vanessa also likes her job, she is Colombian with American accent, her speech is comprehensible, and everything is understandable.

The school provides different activities and a participance in excursions with a discount. I also advise you to take courses from 30 hours, I took 20 and regret a little bit, because 30-hour courses include 10+ speaking hours, it will be more useful. If you learn English from scratch, take courses for 2-3 months. There are students, who has studied for six months, and they say that it is a crucial experience for improving your English skills.

Minuses:

At my first day at school I didn’t realize how everything works, because of a test I missed 1 lesson. Watch carefully where they send you, and immediately ask them to change your English level group, if you feel that it is too difficult for you to study there. After a while it will be hard to change it operatively. And remember, if you come to improve your English, forget your shyness when they test your English level.

Tutorial materials are given in the first two days, it is better not to write down anything, because it will be hard to return them, if you change your level.

The school is growing and developing its organization skills, thus, enjoy its truthful kindness, but control your process of learning by yourself.

About accommodation:

Malta invests a lot in construction, apartments could be expensive, especially during the season. There is no heating at all, because it is enough to use an air conditioning with a heating function (it is necessary to cool air in summer time, abundant sweat is said to appear) or a usual heater in winter time. In general, if you go not in a hot weather and you easily freeze, you need to take pajamas with you :) There is no need to take warm clothes, but sweatshirts are better to grab.

Generally: RECOMMENDED.

BUT, there is no sense to go for 2 weeks if you do need to study much grammar and nuances in English tenses, if you want to highly improve your English, go for a longer term or on intense courses. In a short term you will only bridge a language barrier, but your total progress will be insignificant as mine.

It's pretty good that your company is developing rapidly.  Learning foreign languages is very important, and I believe that this service is very useful.

Organization of the trip:

I spent 4 days to find out where I can get the breakfast I had paid for. I walked back and forth from the reception in the hotel, to the  reception desk of the school, and eventually found out what I had paid for.

This could be attributed to my lack of acumen, but I met two more students from Russia who also did not understand where they should have gone for breakfast.

The quality of breakfast leaves much to be desired. Being more honest with students, it should be told that there is such an option, but for the same money you can buy products of higher quality in the store.

Transfer:

At some point a mistake was made and a transfer on arrival was booked instead of a transfer on departure. As a result, on my request to cancel the transfer on departure, I was informed that I've already used it and it's impossible to return money. For whose mistake did I pay more than 20 Euros?

Accommodation:

I was almost satisfied with the room I had been given. It would be really good if it were a little cleaner. In general, it is not critical.

But when I saw another room where all the walls were covered with mold, I had a shock. It is incredibly harmful to health and it is not permissible to use such an apartment for living.

About the lessons:

In fact there were 10 people in group. This has a very negative effect on the learning process. The school itself has ""one size fits all"" approach regardless of the current level of language, goals and terms of study. The training system is extremely inefficient.  Despite the poor education system, I want to note the high level of the teachers who actually try to be effective.

I chose the InLingua school in Malta - I already had Schengen and the prices for tuition are much lower than in other countries, well, and as an excellent bonus - the sea. I booked the training through Linguatrip. They also helped when it was necessary to add training hours and advise on emerging issues. I really liked the teachers at the school, the progress in two weeks, and though it is comparable to a couple of months in Russia, a native speaker is teaching and you are surrounded mostly by English speaking guys, gives your results. We had an emphasis on increasing the vocabulary, we talked a lot, discussed the daily topics. It is better to go for a minimum of at least five weeks, because by the end of the second week you just go into rage. I plan to return here in August :)

I got pleased by my trip. A huge thank to LinguaTrip team for their help.

2 weeks aren't enough for learning English, and the time on Malta passes quickly. We went on lots of excursions, also we sailed to the Gozo Island. It was so interesting. In evenings my neighbor by residence and I ran along the waterfront. He's Italian and such a great man. Every Thursday Inlingua School Malta organizes a conversation party on the pier in one comfortable bay that is located in St. Julian's. It's a very helpful and interesting event.

After drinking a few cocktails, the language barrier disappears on its own) I got acquainted with a lot of cool people from France, Germany, and Korea. Now we are still in touch, and planning to go to the school again after the high season. I think to take a 8-week course next time. There was unpleasant situation that happened to me on my way back home. In the Frankfurt Airport German customs officer was looking at my passport too long, then he said that I'd exceeded my limit of days I could spend in Schengen Area. – one day is my excess. I told him that I had only 15 days, that I came to Malta on 11th March, and it's 26th March. And I asked him to count how much 26 minus 11 would be. But he told me that I had to go with his colleague – policeman. So, they got me in a room at Police office.

Policeman asked me if I clearly understood what I had done wrong and for what they blamed me. After that, I told him that I probably counted the amount of day wrong. So we counted it together, bending our fingers, and yeah, it was 16 days, not 15 as I thought. So I had to pay a fine of 110 Euro.

Learning experience:

I was lucky to have great teachers: Charlene for group lessons (20/week) and Sandra for private lessons (10/week). They shaped my skills quite a bit. I became more accurate and fluent during the course.

Location:

Inlingua has an awesome location right in front of Sliema harbour, so you can easily travel to the capital Valletta (which is quite a vibrant city) or other Maltese islands (Gozo & Comino) by ferry :) Also, you can take a bus to any location over the island.

Malta:

I've been during low season and it was a quite good experience. Malta has a rich history, but also a lot of pubs, restaurants and bars with tourists. I believe in a high season Jun-Sep this place will be full of parties :) So, you won't get bored after school ;)

In general, I was very pleased with the trip, because I'm from a small town, and this was my first trip abroad, to the civilized world :)

I liked Malta very much, I liked the school; very convenient location and schools and residences. The staff at the school is very friendly and helpful, will always help and answer your questions.

What i did not like at school was the lack of a common standard of teaching. For 4 weeks we had two teachers. Teaching was on top - I learned a lot in two weeks, and the lessons were very productive. While with the second teacher we most of the time just stuck in the textbook, then discuss what we read there.

By the residence. Location - this is the only plus. The staff was not very friendly, the light bulb was changed for two weeks (there was no light in one room), wifi wasn't good.

Well, in general, everything is OK :) 4 weeks is not enough for learning the language. But I got a definite push in terms of developing the colloquial skill.

Special thanks to the team linguatrip for their work, for the fact that you can just book a trip without leaving your home!

Peace for everyone!

The trip left only the most beautiful and warm impressions!

InLingua school i really liked! On the first day we passed testing and we were divided into groups. My level was determined as B2.

The first week was led by one teacher, the second week another (the first went on vacation). But this did not affect the class. Both teachers know their business well. Techniques, however, were different.

Every day we considered new topics, learned many new words, spoke, listened to audio, played skits and + a small homework.

There were 8 people in the group, then 9. My group was very friendly and cheerful, we all became friends (I think, for life). The group consisted of 3 Spaniards, 3 Russians, 1 Ukrainian, 1 from Venezuela and 1 Italian.

In addition to the group, everyone in the school is friendly and easy to get to know each other. I also had some friends from other groups.

It was difficult for me to leave, I said goodbye to everyone with great sadness. Two weeks are very few for such courses.

As for Malta, I also really liked it, architecture and nature there harmoniously combined with each other. I have traveled all over the island, part of myself on foot, and some on bus tours. In Malta its own unique atmosphere. The locals are kind and sociable, but most of all there are foreigners.

I did not reserve accommodation from the school, by myself. It was 5 minutes walk from the school and ferry dock (often went by ferry to Valletta).

Thank you very much!!!

Everybody is very kind and worried about you; they try to help you and they are very flexible if you need to change your level if it's better for you.

Inlingua is an excellent school which gives you nice language skills for a short time. The friendly atmosphere and care will accompany you all throughout the training at school. The personnel at school will care not only for your training and safety, but also for the leisure organization.

It was my first experience of training in English abroad, and the result is better than I expected.

I overcame a barrier to communicate in English for a short time. I am really happy with that result.

It is necessary to remember that nobody will give you a tablet for speaking in English. :-)) I highly recommend this one school in Malta!
