Cork English College is family-run organisation that was established in 1978. The College takes great pride in the service and personal attention which it provides for each of their clients. In addition to offering an extensive range of English language programmes for adults and juniors, Cork English College organises all elements of your stay in Ireland. This College also helps and supports clients with transfers to and from the airport, accommodation, social activities and excursions. The Business English Course is perfect for students of business, those already working in the business environment and in regular contact with business clients and also those who will be working in English in the future.

On this course students expand their business related vocabulary and skills in English while at the same time improving overall grammatical accuracy and communicative competence. Students improve their business communication vocabulary and ability to speak about a wide variety of business topics. Our flexible, rolling enrolment option allows students to start every Monday.

Minimum Level: B2

20 minutes from school on public transport
Minimum age — 18
No meals

Our Residential apartments are self-catering and consist of 5 or 6 bedrooms, with a shared kitchen. Each student has their own bathroom facilities. Bed linen can be hired from the apartments but students must bring their own towels. All kitchen utensils, crockery etc. are provided and laundry facilities are available.

Location: Cork City Centre.


30 minutes from school on public transport
Minimum age — 17
Half board

Our students have the option to stay in carefully selected host families. Our accommodation officer visits each family to ensure that they are of the standard that is required by CEC to host foreign students. The families are selected on the basis of a friendly atmosphere, good food and clean comfortable surroundings.

Host Family accommodation is a chance for the student to become part of an Irish family during their stay in Cork. Each adult student has their own bedroom. Accommodation is half board (breakfast and evening meal) during the week and full board (all meals) at the weekend. We ensure that unless otherwise requested there will be only one student of the same mother tongue in the same household.

Shared Apartments

10 minutes from school on public transport
Minimum age — 18
No meals

Shared apartments are self-catering and offer all mod cons. The student has the use of a single room, shared kitchen, bathroom and living room. Bed linen is provided on arrival. The apartments have laundry facilities and a TV. There may be other students living in the same apartment or the students may be sharing with Irish people who are working in Cork.

All occupants in the apartment are expected to keep the apartment clean and tidy. Rooms are cleaned upon departure for the next arrival.

The apartments are based within the city centre so they are close to all amenities.

The student has the use of a single room, shared bathroom, shared kitchen and living room.
