Basic Course is ideal for general purposes and for those who like to mix class time and self-study. Each language course is based on the Basic (Core Program) Course of 20 morning lessons per week. The Basic Course develops all aspects of your language competence in a personalized program coordinated by your core teacher. Courses integrate grammatical structures and functions, guided conversations, pronunciation, speaking, listening, reading, writing, and vocabulary, in order to advance your communicative competence in all skill areas and to ensure a balance of fluency and accuracy. It includes 2-3 Study Club sessions per week plus 5 hours self-study in the Learning Centre.

Intensive Course allows you to combine the fundamental skills learned in the Basic Course with the addition of more focused and specific skills in an afternoon elective option class. The inclusion of an elective option class allows you to learn at an accelerated pace. The Intensive Course represents a significant part of the Eurocentres approach to language learning because it provides you with the opportunity to focus and refine your knowledge based on your area of importance or interest. Of course, elective option classes have been carefully chosen and designed by experienced curriculum developers with your specific goals and needs in mind.

Super-Intensive Course

Super-Intensive Course takes the Basic Course as the starting point and uses two afternoon electives as your focus of interest. With a team of two or three teachers, you will receive the highest level of training and support including a range of feedback and advice regarding all areas of your development. Super-Intensive allows for a highly individualized program. Choose the program that maximizes your time, while allowing you the flexibility to take control of your learning.

Pathway Program is your springboard to colleges and universities in the Canada. Program prepares students for post-secondary study and is customized to the needs of each individual learner. Partner institutions recognize our levels, often eliminating the need for an entry exam such as IELTS or TOEFL.

Our Pathway Program teaches all the specific skills that post-secondary students should have at their disposal. Throughout your course you will practice note-taking, summarize lectures, build research and presentation techniques and develop academic familiarity. In addition to academic skills, our classes offer the perfect balance of all basic English skills from vocabulary and writing to speaking and reading. Our system is highly regarded, and upon successful completion of our Pathway Program you will gain seamless entry to one of our 24 partner universities and colleges.

Pathway Program Coordinator

We have a dedicated Pathway Coordinator on staff to help pathway students and their overseas advisors by providing necessary support through the enrolment process and helping students choose the right university or college. Once students start the program, the Coordinator meets with them regularly to check on progress and respond to concerns or questions and to provide updates. Your Pathway Coordinator also acts as a liaison between students and our partner institutions, ensuring that you are well prepared for post-secondary studies at the end of your English course. With thorough knowledge of our partner institutions’ programs and requirements, our Pathway Coordinator ensures all details are taken care of and information is passed on accurately and efficiently.

Connected with Your Pathway Institution

We want to ensure that you become familiar with the programs and policies of your college or university. Your Pathway Coordinator will keep you feeling confident and in control by connecting you with your college or university from the onset of your English studies. This could include campus tours and presentations by visiting representatives.

Students will have the option of selecting Full-board (three meals per day) or Half-board (breakfast & dinner). All of the host families have been carefully selected and counseled on welcoming international students into their families. There is a variety of host families, and the school takes careful steps to match each student with the most suitable family. This program is carefully monitored to guarantee that all students have positive homestay experiences. Eurocentres Vancouver establishes a contract for every homestay placement to confirm that students have a safe experience with their Canadian family. Most students travel 20 to 40 minutes to school by bus from their host families' homes. All students enrolled in the homestay program receive a comprehensive orientation package, which includes helpful information about living with a Canadian family.
