Basic Course is ideal for general purposes and for those who like to mix class time and self-study. Each language course is based on the Basic (Core Program) Course of 20 morning lessons per week. The Basic Course develops all aspects of your language competence in a personalized program coordinated by your core teacher. Courses integrate grammatical structures and functions, guided conversations, pronunciation, speaking, listening, reading, writing, and vocabulary, in order to advance your communicative competence in all skill areas and to ensure a balance of fluency and accuracy. It includes 2-3 Study Club sessions per week plus 5 hours self-study in the Learning Centre.
Super-Intensive Course takes the Basic Course as the starting point and uses two afternoon electives as your focus of interest. With a team of two or three teachers, you will receive the highest level of training and support including a range of feedback and advice regarding all areas of your development. Super-Intensive allows for a highly individualized program. Choose the program that maximizes your time, while allowing you the flexibility to take control of your learning.
Intensive Course allows you to combine the fundamental skills learned in the Basic Course with the addition of more focused and specific skills in an afternoon elective option class. The inclusion of an elective option class allows you to learn at an accelerated pace. The Intensive Course represents a significant part of the Oxford International approach to language learning because it provides you with the opportunity to focus and refine your knowledge based on your area of importance or interest. Of course, elective option classes have been carefully chosen and designed by experienced curriculum developers with your specific goals and needs in mind.
Elective options: Business English & TOEIC (Levels 4-10), Exam skills (Levels 4-10), Fluency (Levels 1-10), Academic Writing & Speaking (Levels 4-10), Academic Reading & Writing (Levels 4-10).

Students can live with Canadian families. Each student will have his or her private room in a home approved by the Accommodation Coordinator.
Students will have the option of selecting Full-board (three meals per day) or Half-board (breakfast & dinner). All of the host families have been carefully selected and counseled on welcoming international students into their families. There is a variety of host families, and the school takes careful steps to match each student with the most suitable family. This program is carefully monitored to guarantee that all students have positive homestay experiences.
Oxford International Toronto establishes a contract for every homestay placement to confirm that students have a safe experience with their Canadian family. Most students travel 30 to 60 minutes to school by bus from their host families' homes. All students enrolled in the homestay program receive a comprehensive orientation package, which includes helpful information about living with a Canadian family.
We strongly recommend you to book your flight only after your participation in a course and visa are confirmed.
