ELC was founded in 2003 and has become the most awarded English language school in Australia.
Modern school is right in the heart of Sydney, close to Darling Harbour and Sydney’s major transport, tourist, shopping and entertainment districts.
Facilities include: 24 light and large well-equipped classrooms, 2 comfortable student lounges, kitchen and dining area, study centre & computer lounge, free Wi-Fi.
ELC boasts one of the best nationality mixes in Australia with students from 50 countries throughout the year. This great mix ensures that students will have to speak English all day to communicate and make friends and also ensures a fantastic cross-cultural experience. All teachers are native speakers, highly qualified and experienced with university degrees and specialist TESOL qualifications.
This course includes 15 hours of General English + 5 hours of Special Focus module + 5 hours of Business English on Fridays + 2 hours of bonus Conversation classes (per week).
General English focuses on developing four main skills and will help you improve your communication skills and fluency and your English for a wide range of purposes like travel and work.
Special focus modules can be changed every 4 weeks and focus on: Communication, Real English, English for Further Studies, Grammar and Speaking, IELTS Testbuster, Cambridge Testbuster, Cambridge Writing, Cambridge Grammar & Vocabulary.
Business English classes include:
› Daily workplace language
› Written business communication
› Business vocabulary
› Spoken communication at work
› Essential soft skills
› Workshops on specialist language for different industries and positions
Minimum level: Intermediate
For courses more than 5 weeks material fee is extra $15/week (max. $360).
Lessons are fun, lively and the emphasis is on helping students develop their oral communication skills. Social, cultural and sports activities are offered every afternoon on week days so that students discover Sydney, learn the Australian culture, practise English and have fun!

The school are very thrilled to start working with a new partner and to now offer exciting volunteering experiences in direct connection with Australia’s wildlife: programs include caring for injured wildlife, wildlife rehabilitation, as well as Great Barrier Reef conservation!

This is a large, modern, and purpose-built student residence, which welcomes both international and Australian students into a total of over 60 apartments – i.e. over 300 students!
The residence common areas are bright, modern, and well-appointed and include a reception, student lounges, a courtyard with BBQ facilities, study rooms, a cinema room, and even a gym!
Each apartment feature a comfortable and well-equipped kitchen, dining and lounge area, with a flat-screen TV and all essential cooking equipment.
Most importantly, every room is an ensuite single room – the most in-demand room type! Rooms are large, bright, and modern and all linen is supplied.
The residence is located right next to the Chatswood train station, a 20-minute ride from Town Hall station with very frequent trains. This means students can literally get from the bed to their classroom in 30 minutes!
