This is done through a structured schedule, where students attend English classes during the morning and have the afternoons to themselves, allowing them to meet new friends, visit landmarks or plan trips to exciting new places.

Students in homestay are assigned private rooms in the homes of local families, but they may share a bathroom. Most host families live within a 15-mile radius of the Florida Tech campus and ELS Melbourne, with a commute time between 20 and 30 minutes. Hosts either drive their students or help them take public transportation with the purchase of a reasonable monthly bus pass.
