This integrated degree in economics and accounting allows you to study both subjects to a high level.

The first two years contain mandatory units that will provide a solid grounding in both disciplines. You can choose one optional unit in year one; mandatory core content ensures that you have a deep and robust understanding which will inform your choices in the final year when selecting from a wide range of optional units.

One third of the final year is made up of two compulsory units: Advanced Financial Reporting and Management Accounting for Strategy. For the remaining two thirds you will choose from a range of options which must include at least two economics units.

Previously, economics choices have included Behavioural Economics and International Economics, while accounting and finance units have included Auditing, Financial Crises and Financial Markets.

Most of the assessment that forms the final degree result is closed-book examinations, a feature that is valued by many major employers. Work is set to help you practise problem-solving and essay-writing skills, supported by constructive and regular feedback from experienced tutors.
