of California Los Angeles campus, which is right around the corner. The cozy Westwood Village where Kaplan International English - Los Angeles Westwood school is located is a popular spot to see and meet celebrities, just ten minutes from Beverly Hills, and there are multiple bus stops a few minutes’ walk away.
Kaplan International English - Los Angeles Westwood is a large school with bright classrooms with interactive whiteboards, library, student lounge, multimedia lab, garden/outdoor area, and free Wi-Fi.
In addition to learning English, students attend a sports game or concert downtown, spend a day at Disneyland or Universal Studios, and visit one of the many nearby museums, including the Getty.

PROGRAM STRUCTURE:
- 20 ENGLISH LESSONS (15 HOURS)
English language classes cover all the key areas of language and will help you master difficult grammatical structures, fine-tune your pronunciation, read complex texts and build a large working vocabulary.
- 8 SPECIFIC SKILLS LESSONS (6 HOURS)
Focus on a range of specific skills such as vocabulary, business English, or local culture
- 7 K+ SESSIONS (5.25 HOURS)
Exclusive K+ Online and K+ Online Extra materials help you reinforce progress made in class and provide instant feedback, while our teacher-led K+ Learning Clubs allow you to socialize and practice your language skills at the same time.
English Academic Year courses are nine-month English courses that aim to take you from your current level of English up to a very high level of fluency.
Immerse yourself in the English language, and spend a year studying and getting to know a new location and culture. The course is an effective way to increase your fluency, and you will be helped by exclusive and specially designed study materials.
Course length:
9 months (32 weeks of tuition and 2-3 weeks break)
Course structure:
- 20 lessons (15 hours) of General English: focus on the four main aspects of language: reading, writing, listening, and speaking;
- 7 sessions (5.25 hours) of K+ tools, K+eXtra and K+ clubs: Self-study time with access to exclusive materials and resources along with personalized sessions for you study the areas you most need help with, including exam techniques and study group work.

Homestay families reflect the diversity of life in the United States. They include young, senior and single parent families and couples with and without children. American hosts live in houses, apartment complexes or townhomes and have varying ethnic backgrounds, diverse interests, and different lifestyles.
Living in a homestay will allow you to practice your English in a real-life setting. It is important to remember that you are both part of the family and a guest at the same time. You may have to help with household chores, keep your bedroom tidy and make your bed each morning. Make sure that you always ask for permission to bring friends around and let your family know if you will not be at home for dinner or will be going away for the weekend!
Plan to arrive at your accommodation between 2:00 pm and 10:00 pm on the Saturday or Sunday prior to your course start date.
Breakfast: Breakfast is usually a light meal consisting of cereal, toast or fruit, frequently with juice or coffee. Often these foods will be made available to you and you will prepare your own morning meal.
Lunch: You will be responsible for purchasing your own lunch at a nearby restaurant or from a local store. A refrigerator and a microwave may be available for you to use at school.
Dinner: Dinner may be a shared meal in the evening, or occasionally you may prepare your own meal with food supplied by your host.
Check-in: Saturday / Sunday, check-out: Saturday.
