The study environment was really nice and all the teachers were great and i could really learn a lot. I especially liked Sakumi Sensei.

This acclaimed and award-winning Japanese language school in the center of Tokyo offers small-group, high-intensity classes and lots of fun cultural activities.

Genki Japanese and Culture School (GenkiJACS) is a revolutionary Japanese language school, located just minutes on foot from Shinjuku Station, in the most fun part of Tokyo. Despite that, the school is an oasis of calm, situated in the beautiful grounds of a famous shrine.

The school is incredibly flexible. Courses start every Monday throughout the year, and run for as many weeks as you want to study. Choose from a variety of fun courses, including Japanese Plus Traditional Culture, Pop Culture, and more. Accommodation options include homestay, dorm, and private apartment. And the school usually organizes between 7 and 10 extra-curricular activities per week, to keep students busy.

Classes are extremely small, with a maximum of 8 students, so you have lots of chances to practice with the teacher, and get personal attention to your learning needs. Classes are focused on the learning styles of people from European language backgrounds.

GenkiJACS was voted as 2016's Star World Language School, the highest award in the language travel industry, and the first time that a Japanese school has ever won this award! The school is also accredited internationally by IALC, the International Association of Language Centres.

I studied for 3 weeks at GenkiJacs Tokyo by the time of writing this review I still have 2 days left. What i can tell so far is that it was really a nice experience. The study environment was really nice and all the teachers were great and i could really learn a lot. I especially liked Sakumi Sensei. She has a great way to teach with her cheerful attitude. All the other teachers were great too and acted very professional and friendly. The size of the classes is good too . I also liked the things provided at student lounge, you can read magazines and japanese manga for free. The free time activities made by the school were also really nice. I really enjoyed the hicking trip to Mount Takao. All in all I can highly recommend studying with GenkiJacs if you want to study Japanese in Japan.
