Three of us, Anton,Dima and I,had decided to go on English course. We were planning it about 4-5 months before. We’ve known about linguatrip.com and found out a lot of options where we could go.We’re considering to go to England. We compared prices in London and around south England towards to the Sea.We were looking for the best price-quality option and were considering different types of accommodation like hostels, hotels, apartments, host families, student residence.
In summing up ,criterias for our choice were good rate point, inexpensive accomodation and food, proximity to the Sea and quiet area.
We’ve chosen United World School of English in Bournemouth located near to Southampton.
We made pre-payment for 3 weeks. Then we started to get visa in 1,5 month before the trip. After all we bought tickets and paid rest of the sum for course. It cost 1130 pounds for course and hosting in family.
It’s more comfortable and cheaper to reach Bournemouth by train from London. If u go with group u will save your cash .The cost of group ticket is 32 pounds.
On arriaval we were excited how friendly and hospitable host family were.
They have big family:2 adults(Brien and Karen) and 2 kids. Except us there were students from Saudi Arabia(they were nice).Host family were very talkative,we had breakfast and dinner all together. My friends and I have visited nearest cities around Bournemouth. Also we enjoyed riding bikes.
Our School was perfect. Well-desighned classrooms, friendly students and great teachers were the part of atmosphere.
Students were from different countries,we met only 2 russians for all our trip.
Bournemouth is really beautiful and cosy city located on the coast.
There are excellent infrastructure, all u need is here:shops, cafes, bars, clubs.
My favorites were Tesco(grocery store),Starbucks, library(WiFi is everywhere),Cameo(4 floors of various music like latina, pop, rock and techno).
The road from apartment to school took about 15 minutes by bus.Ticket price is 13 pounds in a week and no limit if u go by Yellow Buses. There are a lot of tours in school to the rest of England, Schotland and Wales.
I want to share my impression with you about these courses.First of all, my speaking skill’s improved and my English is much more better now. But it’s still not upper-intermediate.
It has given me the great experience. These kind of trip motivates a lot to study language further and also it’s the best way of learning ever.
Also,my friend Dima was in elementary class at first, but now he is more fluent.
