July 2017

This is the story of a girl who went to Germany to learn German, though her language level was next to zero. 🙋🏽‍♀️ Before I came to Berlin to study language I’d been learning German for three months in a group. I didn't feel comfortable and couldn’t study productively, because pupils knew language better than I. So, I decided to go abroad to improve my language skills. 💡 I’d chosen EF school in Berlin with accommodation in a family host, because I wanted to improve my language as much as it possible. I lived with 5 students from different countries in a big country house in a quiet district. I had only one roommate, we got on well. Food was really tasty! I stayed there for 4 weeks. As for the school, it was in downtown beside Potsdamer Platz. It was close to the big shopping mall, museums and other sightseeing as well as it was a stone's throw away from tube and any other public transport. 🚊 All classes were full of many different activities e.g. studying of grammar, watching video, listening, work in a group, discussing. I noticed I never learnt grammar or new words, but everything had memorized. 📚 After this course I realized I knew German better than my groupmates in Moscow! 🌃 I guess, this 4 weeks in Germany was more effective for me than 3 months in Russia. It’s fantastic! I want to notice there were an amiable staff in the school. 😊 We had a lot of different activities every day. We gathered at round table and talked ONLY in German. Of course, it was a great experience for me. Highly recommend for everybody! 😊))))
