Despite the fact that it was my first trip abroad, and I did not really imagine how everything works, the transfer did not order, decided to get on their own, because the school is located just a 20-minute walk from the main station of Cologne and two metro stops. The location of the school is really very convenient, all the main attractions, shops and cafes were within walking distance. With housing there was an interesting situation. First, the school sent me one address, the apartment was quite far from the center. But in the end, on arrival I took the envelope with the address and there was a surprise waiting for me: a new address in another part of the city. But I was lucky, because the apartment was located in the Neuehrenfeld district, which is located very close to the city center and to the school.I booked a room for two in a superior apartment, there was wi-fi, everything you need for cooking in the kitchen and even cleaning the apartment. The only drawback is that there was no washing machine and iron, but on the -1 floor of the house there was a Laundry room. The apartment itself was clean and tidy. I was quite lucky, because for two weeks in an apartment for 4 people, lived only me and a neighbor. That is, it all depends on the time when you come, because after I moved out, the apartment was occupied by 2 more students. But to be honest, for a comfortable stay a small bathroom and a small kitchen with a small refrigerator for 4 people can be quite uncomfortable. As for school and classes. On the first day I was very warmly welcomed, showed the school, the classroom, where classes were held, issued a textbook with a notebook and other necessary materials for study, as well as handed a student card, which gave a discount in some cafes and other institutions. With one teacher, we just went through the textbook, actively discussing the topics of lessons and doing exercises. Also, once made a presentation. At the last class with her, I was in for a huge surprise. As it turned out, she was not a native German and actually spoke Russian very well, but she did not tell me about it, because she did not want me to relax and try to think only in German. So, Russian students can safely book lessons in this school, because they will practice only German in spite of everything. Another teacher gave many useful synonyms and expressions, gave many examples from life: how her German friends talk, what they use in what contexts, which was very useful and interesting. Well, the third, alas, managed to work out only once. But this lesson was one of the most useful, because we did not look into the textbook, but simply talked, discussing the subtleties of the German language. In General, all the teachers left a good impression, all the classes were useful. Also, the school organized free extracurricular activities 3-4 times a week. This is usually either Hiking in Billiards, picnics, trips to museums and trips to neighboring cities. If you are not able to gain a minimum of 4-5 people, then ride/hike in a place were canceled. Once I went with classmates to the Cologne Cathedral. Admission was free, because we were on our student cards, which saved as much as 10 euros, or even more. This mini-tour was conducted by a very cheerful and friendly school employee, so we managed to practice the language once again and make new friends from different countries. I really want to thank the team of LinguaTrip for the help in organizing this great trip!...

I was at this school for three weeks, very happy with everything! The only thing I regretted was choosing a city. There were a lot of English and other languages in Berlin, anything, but not German. If I go again, I will choose the smallest city. The school was super! The classes were well structured, strong grammar, the group was very friendly. We always hung out with my groupmates in the dormitory, although I didn’t live there. I would like to note that even in the classroom (not to mention outside), all the students spoke in their own languages or in English. When the teacher couldn’t explain something, he didn’t try to explain again in German. Instead of it, he explained in English. Higher-level groups spoke only German. On the language level test, I decided that I needed an easier group to understand everything in German. For some reason, there was no final test. With the teachers, we went on excursions: to a technical museum, rode on a boat, had a party in a cafe in the open air. True, there was no excursion in the museum, just free entrance. And on the boat was a tour in English (I’d said, it was Berlin). In general, the trip was useful to me: I learned German and English! Thanks to LinguaTrip for the excellent organization!...

The trip to BWS Germanlingua was honestly the best experience of my life so far. Apart from being the first time I have ever travelled alone to a foreign country (I departed 2 days after I turned 18), it really got me out of my comfort zone and pushed me to develop my speaking abilities in the German language. I stayed with a lovely host family who didn’t speak any English, which prompted me to speak German from the first day of my arrival. This had a great impact on the way I learned to better practise my German skills. The school itself was absolutely amazing, the courses were very interactive and the teacher (Beate) was honestly the best German teacher I’ve ever had (even for only 2 weeks). The time spent in course never felt like I was in a school, everything was all fun for me and I was actually feeling very excited for the first time to be learning the language....

Thank you very much for your help with organizing my trip! The entire process of document collection and preparations for the trip was pretty comfortable and easy. The school was amazing! On the very first day I was put into the A2-level group, but after the first lesson, I asked the school manager to put me into a group with a lower level of knowledge instead. During the school break, in literally 5 minutes, my schedule was changed, I got a new teacher and I was put into the new group (A1.2). At the end of the class, I got my certificate for the A2-level. The teachers and the members of the school were always ready and always happy to help, give advice, laugh together, and ready to have a nice time outside of the school (for example, had a lesson at the cafe or a picnic outside the city). I didn't want to skip the lessons even after the wild Berlin parties. Students were chatting with teachers throughout the school breaks, and there was a quite friendly and relaxed atmosphere in the school. It's tough to say goodbye to my classmates, to the teachers, and to the city in general. Everything was brilliant! :)...
