This course offers 20 group lessons of General French. The lessons are run in the morning. The General French course is focused on the 4 competencies (reading, writing, listening and speaking) and on grammar. Above all, the practical aspect of the language is taught in order to facilitate everyday communication.

n our French language University preparation course for adults we teach you the French language and provide you with the skills required for exams (namely, the DELF, B2); you will learn university methods and techniques that are essential for attending classes and passing exams with flying colours.
In this way, the University preparation course helps to improve the 4 skills recommended by the CEFRL: Listening and reading comprehension as well as written and spoken communication. During the Standard French course you will revise all grammatical rules so as to master them to the best of your capabilities whilst also enriching your range of vocabulary and improve phonetics for better pronunciation. All of these capacities are required if you want to pass the DELF B2 exam and they will also help you to follow a university course. You will thus be prepared for university having acquired a good language level together with knowledge about French culture.
This course offers 30 lessons of General French per week. The Intensive French language course combines language studying with different aspects of the language and offers you the possibility to improve your fluency thanks to time spent on oral communication activities.

The school must confirm the availability of your chosen accommodation.
If the selected housing is not available for your dates, the school will offer another accommodation option for you to consider.
I don't need housing
The ideal way to discover French language and culture and its people is to live with a local French host family.
Nearly all families in Montpellier live within less than 30 minutes from ILA school.
Host Families provide you with single rooms and double rooms (for students travelling together). All rooms are properly equipped with a bed, adequate storage space, lighting, chair and desk, etc. You can choose two types of nutrition - breakfast only or half board (breakfact and dinner).

Students who prefer independent accommodation in Montpellier will find the Apartment Hotel a great option for their stay in France.
The Apartment Hotel is usually between 10 and 15 minutes from ILA school (use of tramway).
You can choose studios for single or double occupancy. Those studios of approx. 25 m2 with private bathroom (shower, sink and toilet) as well as a fully equipped kitchen with a fridge and cooking facilities. Telephone and TV are available.
The Apartment Hotels have good infrastructure with free WIFI; some have, for example, a swimming pool on the roof, air conditioning and other features; some offer sauna and breakfast service at an extra charge.
The student residences are designed for students who want to live their daily lives independently. At the same time, you can get to know many new friends from all over the world. The student residences are less than 10 minutes’ walk from ILA school.
You can choose either a single room or double room (you will be provided a roommate of the same gender). All rooms have a private bathroom (shower, sink and toilet) as well as small kitchen or common kitchen with a fridge and cooking facilities. Internet access free of charge is available (bring your own computer).
