I have visited New York for the 1st time. It was my dream.
9 hours flight and i arrived to JFK New York airport. After some usual procedures i was picked up by one of the school staff with a plate with my name. We waited for some other students, than went out of the airport and it was said that we would go by a limousine. Tears came to our eyes - it is so cool to look out of the limousine window and see Manhattan. Finally, we arrived to Fordham University. After some snacks we went for a walk through the territory of our camp - it's just enormous!
In the morning we usually had classes, than we went to the city. During free-time we could walk unaccompanied, thats what we really enjoyed! In the evening we usually had some activities - games, cinema, karaoke. I got acquainted to people of different origins - there were a lot students from Italy and Romania.
During week-days our lessons lasted for 3 hours - lessons were very dynamic, filled with creativity and art, with a lot speaking practice as well. We also had some lessons devoting to American English and American slang. Everyday we had excursions, on wednesdays we had dinner in the city center. On weekends we went to the city with a guided tour, i have visited - Empire State Building, Statue of Liberty, Metropolitan Museum, Museum of Natural History and the Top of the Rock (Rockfeller Center). It was my best trip ever! I've visited NY in 15 years - my dream came true.
I just want to thank my parents, LinguaTrip team and all the people that were with me for this terribly awesome trip!
