At ILSC New York, every student gets teamed up with a staff mentor who can answer any questions they might have — from the school experience, to where to get the best New York pizza, and more!

The school offers a strong emphasis on foundational skills and a variety of options to support the growth of students' business language skills, including Executive Business English Certificates, and a Volunteer Experience program where pupils can volunteer with local NGOs. There are also free after-class workshops; students learn about art, cooking and more!

A variety of English course and program options are available for students hoping to attend University or College in the USA. In addition to the University Pathway Program, ILSC New York also has a University Admissions Service, and an on-campus English study + GMAT or GRE preparation program offered by The Princeton Review.

Most homestay families live about 45 minutes from ILSC by public transit. Each family provides their student guest with a furnished private bedroom, a shared bathroom and meals. ILSC’s multilingual Student Accommodations staff monitor each home to make sure it is appropriate, and are always available to help you if any problem or issue happens to arise.

Hostel Vanderbilt YMCA

Get more and pay less when you stay at the Vanderbilt YMCA. Enjoy their full-service fitness center which includes two swimming pools, steam room and sauna, cardiovascular and strength training areas. My trip to NY was great! I liked to school very much and the teaching staff consists of true professionals.

Except for some problems concerning incorrect dates of language course everything was cool.

I wanted to try something different and since I was always interested in the USA, I decided to give it a try and take the opportunity to improve my English. After arriving in New York, I was overwhelmed by all the different people and different smells. I was afraid of being in New York by myself, but soon enough I made new friends and New York because like my second home. Living in New York made me more open minded. My self-esteem when up and I learned that nothing is impossible.
