General English course includes 20 classes per week of group lessons. Please note that during the Summer Programme (from 11 June until 24 August 2018), there is a full-day study visit on Wednesdays, therefore will be provided only 16 classes per week.

This General English course is perfect if you want to join a short course for 1 – 11 weeks and improve your English in a group but also have free time for social activities and self-study in the afternoon.

This General course in English will:

IELTS Preparation course includes 25 group lessons per week. During the Summer Period (from 11 June until 24 August 2018), there are only 20 classes per week.

The morning lessons focus on increasing confidence when communicating in English, improving fluency and developing English skills, vocabulary and grammar for the IELTS examination. All morning lessons are topic-based and relevant IELTS topics are chosen in consultation with the students in the class as part of Anglolang’s ‘negotiated syllabus’. The topic-based classes are taught using interactive whiteboards, up-to-date authentic resources from the Internet, such as YouTube videos, as well as digital English language course books.

During the afternoon lessons, examination questions are practised along with techniques and strategies for succeeding in the IELTS test. Please note that the afternoon lesson may sometimes be scheduled to start later and therefore we cannot guarantee that the afternoon class will finish at 15.00.

IELTS homework is given regularly, with particular emphasis on reading and writing outside the classroom. Feedback, correction and advice are given. Mock examinations are also done regularly.

This FCE/CAE Preparation course focuses on developing each of the four skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing, which are needed in the FCE/CAE, as well as vocabulary and grammar. Time is spent developing the various types of writing that are tested in the examination and grammatical accuracy is also focused on.

FCE/CAE exams questions are practised and techniques and strategies are developed for succeeding in these exams.

Homework is given regularly, with particular emphasis on reading and writing outside the classroom. Feedback, correction and advice are also given. Mock examinations are also done regularly.

Intercultural Training for Professionals

Effective Use of Technology in Teaching

This course is for teachers who would like to increase their awareness and usage of technology in a teaching context. Morning sessions focus on language development where participants gain confidence in using English. The afternoon methodology sessions introduce fresh and communicative approaches to using technology in teaching. By experiencing a range of practical teaching techniques, participants will expand their own working classroom ideas while refreshing and developing their English language proficiency.

By the end of the course participants will have:

Effective Use of Technology in Teaching

This course is for teachers who would like to increase their awareness and usage of technology in a teaching context. Morning sessions focus on language development where participants gain confidence in using English. The afternoon methodology sessions introduce fresh and communicative approaches to using technology in teaching. By experiencing a range of practical teaching techniques, participants will expand their own working classroom ideas while refreshing and developing their English language proficiency.

By the end of the course participants will have:

- Increased their awareness of how technology can be used in the classroom;

- Acquired new ideas for motivating their students;

- Collected a portfolio of teaching resources;

This Inclusive Education course is for teachers who are currently teaching, or preparing to teach, and are interested in exploring an integrated approach to Inclusion. This course is an introduction to Inclusion and Special Educational Needs (SEN), with an emphasis on learning and meeting the needs of specific

individuals and groups of learners in an inclusive way. Teachers from any subject/discipline are welcome to join the course. Morning sessions focus on language development where participants gain confidence in using English. The afternoon methodology sessions introduce fresh and communicative approaches to Inclusive Education and learning.
