The OSE Junior Summer School provides a memorable experience for students from all over the world in the very heart of Oxford
The syllabus aims to equip students with the tools necessary for natural and confident communication with carefully designed courses which engage students and activate their learning. In addition to enhancing students’ language skills like speaking, listening, reading, and writing, topic classes prepare students for their excursions by exploring the culture and history of the places to be visited. Students also contribute to group projects which they can take home with them.
Cultural Programme is one of three programmes available at the school.
There are lots of exciting and interesting things to do in and around Oxford – and our Cultural Programme includes them all! From ice skating to swimming, from barbecues to treasure hunts, from visits to Oxford’s wonderful Natural History Museum to tours of the famous Christ Church College, our afternoons and evenings are packed with fun things to do.
And of course, there is a half-day excursion by coach (to Blenheim Palace, Cotswold Wildlife Park and Warwick Castle) each Wednesday, a full-day excursion (to London, Bath and Brighton) every Saturday, and optional excursions (London, Windsor and Thorpe Park) every Sunday.
Please note that the activity programme includes evening activities every day for students in residential accommodation, but students in homestay receive evening activities only twice per week.

I don't need housing
Our hosts are carefully selected and many of them have been working with us for years. Most are located in the Kidlington and Headington suburbs, 15 - 25 minutes from the campus by bus, but we also have some homestays within walking distance.
Homestays provide breakfast and dinner in the home, with a packed lunch every day. Accommodation is provided in twin rooms.
We have top quality residential accommodation in the modern Clive Booth hall of residence, where all rooms are en-suite, single and extremely comfortable. The halls themselves are an easy walk, or a short bus ride, from the campus.
The minimum age for residential accommodation is 12 years.
