Bucksmore St Hilda’s College is one of Oxford University's riverside colleges and it offers summer programme combined with a fun-filled activity.
Bucksmore St Hilda’s College is based on the riverside of the River Cherwell next to Magdalene Bridge, famous for its traditional punting activity. With only a short walk to the main high street, the college provides a perfect location for students to explore this famous city. Since the arrival of the Saxons, the buildings demonstrate English architectural periods including the mid-18th century Radcliffe Camera.
In addition to the Bucksmore’s residential centre management team and counsellors that provide pastoral care and support to students, there are also friendly and welcoming Bucksmore St Hilda’s College staff available 24 hours a day.
The syllabus of course incorporates language study, language for life, project sessions, excursion link lessons and academic skills sessions. The language study lessons focus on the communicative style of language learning and provide grammar and vocabulary tailored to a student’s ability. Language for life lessons integrate a wider range of topics including learner training, literacy, culture and life skills.
With 25 hours of tuition each week and a maximum class size of 11 students, Bucksmore Oxford is an intensive English language course that immerses students aged 13-16 in the English language.
Combined with a fun-filled activity programme, the course is perfect for students who want to maximise their language knowledge away from a traditional summer boarding school environment.
