Junior Camp Stafford House Canterbury is located in a beautiful, historic city, which is close to the beaches of the south coast and within easy reach of London.

Classic Course
  • From 14 years old
  • 16 students per class
  • Lesson 45 minutes

This course includes a full programme of English tuition, supervised excursions, sports and on-site activities such as arts and crafts, drama and evening activities.

Lessons focus on improving English language skills through fun and collaborative activities. Students develop their grammar and vocabulary, as well as their confidence in using English, through a series of engaging weekly tasks and projects. Classes concentrate on key skills needed in 21st century, including communication, collaboration, research and presentation skills.

• maximum class size of 16 students;

• 1 full-day excursion per week plus 1 or 2 half-day excursions per week;

• themed lessons prepare students for excursions;

• full board accommodation (homestay or residential).

Intensive English

This course provides more classroom time for students to focus on their English Language knowledge and skills, as well as participating in supervised activities and excursions.

Lessons focus on improving English language skills through fun and collaborative activities. Students develop their grammar and vocabulary, as well as their confidence in using English, through a series of engaging weekly tasks and projects. Classes concentrate on key skills needed in 21st century, including communication, collaboration, research and presentation skills.

Students will increase their vocabulary, enhance their grammar, improve and strengthen writing and reading skills.

• maximum class size of 16 students;

• evening social activities included;

• 1 afternoon activity per week;

• 1 full-day excursion per week;

• full board accommodation (homestay or residential).

First Certificate (FCE) Preparation Course

This is a course specially designed for students who have been studying towards the Cambridge University First Certificate (FCE) exam. Students can join the course for 3 or 4 weeks with the option of sitting the exam. Students will receive FCE practice materials, regular assessments and self-study guidance. The exam can be taken during the final week of the course and costs additional 150 pounds.

Passing the FCE exam shows that students can use everyday written and spoken English at an upper-intermediate level. FCE is ideal for those who wish to use English for study and work and is widely recognised as proof of language ability by industry and educational institutions, both in Britain and abroad.

The course:

• gives students the opportunity to practise speaking, listening, reading and writing;

• provides appropriate vocabulary and develops grammar and language skills;

• helps improve study skills;

• builds fluency and exam confidence.

Minimum course duration — 3 weeks
Classic plus basketball
  • From 14 years old
  • 16 students per class
  • Lesson 45 minutes

This is a Classic English course combined with basketball lessons. Course includes a full programme of English tuition, supervised excursions, sports and on-site activities such as arts and crafts, drama and evening activities.

The camp provides students with 9 hours per week of basketball coaching by accredited coaches. The training will focus on all the skills and techniques used in the game.

English lessons focus on improving language skills through fun and collaborative activities. Students develop their grammar and vocabulary, as well as their confidence in using English, through a series of engaging weekly tasks and projects. Classes concentrate on key skills needed in 21st century, including communication, collaboration, research and presentation skills.
