Bristol – an exciting city! Bristol is a vibrant, multicultural city of opportunities with two world class universities. It is less than 2 hours from London, 10 minutes from Bath and combines Georgian terraces, waterfront cafes, arts centres and monuments to Britain’s maritime heritage. The city enjoys a packed programme of cultural and social events, including music and film festivals, many of which take place over the summer. Bristol airport has major international status, flying to over 60 European destinations.

The course takes place at BLC (Bristol Language Centre), a well-equipped Learning Centre. The school is newly refurbished and has excellent teaching and learning facilities, and is located in the city centre, in a thriving area near the quay. It is just a short walk from the city’s best amenities, shopping and sightseeing areas.

The Summer Junior Programme offers English language tuition in small stimulating classes to all levels from elementary to advanced, combined with a social activity programme. In this way, you can improve your English, while learning about British life and culture, in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. Based on a communicative teaching approach, class programmes focus on quickly developing effective skills in reading, writing, speaking and listening. Lesson times are 9:15-10:45 with 15 minutes break and 11:00-12:30, with afternoon activities.

Students are provided with homestay accommodation which is conveniently located within easy access of the course centre. Students will not be accommodated in the same home with another student of the same nationality unless specifically requested. Staying in a homestay is the ideal way for young students to immerse themselves in Bristol’s daily life and will enable students to speak English in a real environment.
