General English forms the core of the teaching programme. Morning classes are based around a coursebook lesson, followed by a Speaking & Listening class.
This course offers 20 or 25 lessons of General English per week. You will improve four main language skills, such as speaking, listening, writing and reading while enlarging your vocabulary with new words and phrases for your daily life.
The course is available to levels from Elementary (A2) to Advanced (C1).
At the end of your course, you will receive a certificate and progress report, which are very useful tools to show future employers.
This course includes 20 lessons of General English plus 10 afternoon elective lessons of Skills for Career or Academic Success per week.
- 20 Morning classes per week cover all language skills and are based around a coursebook, followed by a fluency-focused Speaking & Listening lesson.
- 10 Afternoon classes per week are devoted to helping students to develop creative and critical thinking, collaboration, problem-solving and communication skills. The lessons use a coursebook specifically designed for BSC students aiming for success in their professional careers.
You can choose to study Skills for Academic Success or Skills for Career Success.
Skills for Academic Success prepares you to work effectively in an academic setting and is ideal if you wish to continue your studies in an English speaking environment or prepare for an exam.
Skills for Career Success will teach you to express yourself in the professional field and is ideal if you wish to work or advance your career at home or abroad.
Course components: 20 morning lessons dedicated to the skills, language and exam practice you need to achieve your desired result. Add 10 afternoon lessons of Skills for Academic Success to fully prepare yourself for the exam, university and future study.
Minimum level: Intermediate (B1). Exam price (not included): €205 (approx).

I don't need housing
An excellent option for students who wish to experience the famous Irish hospitality first hand. The school offers single or twin rooms on a bed and breakfast or half-board basis. Homestay families are located between 40-50 minutes from the school by bus or tram.
A comfortable and simply furnished room contains a desk and storage space for your clothes. Bed linen is provided by the host. Your host will clean your room, but you should keep it neat and tidy too by making your own bed and putting your clothes away.
Students should be able to do one washing machine load of laundry per week.

Availability: 27/06/2020 – 22/08/2020 This residence offers single en-suite rooms in university-style accommodation in the city centre. Rooms are usually arranged in flats of 5-8 bedrooms with a shared kitchen and social facilities including common room, launderette and cycle storage. At this premium residence, students can also have access to the on-site gym and cinema room.
Check-in: Saturday or Sunday after 3:00pm

Ardcairn House is a modern, purpose-built residence that offers single en-suite rooms and a large variety of common areas such as music room, cinema room and even a bowling alley. It is conveniently located in one of Dublin’s loveliest suburbs.
Arrivals between 08:00am and 10:00pm. Arrivals after 10pm may not be possible, please check with the school first. Late arrival fee may apply for homestay and student house bookings.
