Bray is a town located by the sea in County Wicklow, Wicklow is known as the
Garden of Ireland. Bray has a population 32,000 and is just 40 minutes south of Dublin. ATC Bray school is located on the seafront facing the Irish Sea with self catering accommodation options within minutes walk of the school and host family accommodation within the town of Bray.
ATC Bray has 23 classrooms in Dunluice House, all of which are laid out to
facilitate communicative learning and maximise students’ interaction with their
teachers and with each other. All the teachers are native English speakers, who have a university degree and a professional qualification in English Language Teaching. The school has Wi-Fi internet access available throughout the building which allows the teachers to use a variety of material to support learning alongside the structured curriculum. The classrooms are bright, spacious and warm, and many have magnificent views across the Irish Sea. There is a student study centre available for students who wish to study independently using the materials available in the library. The students can use this room to do their homework or practise/ improve their skills in English. The student library contains a wide selection of both educational and recreational reading materials. Teachers are always available to assist students with their studies. ATC Bray offers 3 free classes per week for those who want to practice speaking skills!
ATC Bray also provides a comfortable cafeteria where tea and coffee are available for students in addition to a private garden and patio area, with ample seating for students. All ATC students will receive a log in for ATC Online 1 month before arrival and can continue to use for 3 months after departure. ATC Online is a personalised integrated learning platform allowing students to complete assessments, homework, language and skills development online, throughout their time at ATC.

This course helps students to improve the level of fluency, gain self-confidence and improve communication skills. The intensive course helps to learn the language in the shortest possible time and gives a practical understanding of the English language and is aimed at developing the basic language skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing.
The General English course syllabus consists of 16 hours per week and is designed to improve the students’ understanding of the four skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing. It is suitable for long term students who require a study visa.
Students may begin each Monday. It is based on a 12 week cycle, during which time student’s progress through a set course book at the relevant level.
The IELTS exam preparation course is a six-week program that focuses on improving written and spoken English, conducted on a par with improving key exam strategies and techniques.
The school must confirm the availability of your chosen accommodation.
If the selected housing is not available for your dates, the school will offer another accommodation option for you to consider.
I don't need housing
Living with a host family is the ideal way to practise English outside the classroom.
Our Irish host families have been selected carefully and are visited regularly by our Accommodation Officer. Most are within walking distance of the school and offer students half-board during the week and full board at weekends.
Junior students are provided with bed and breakfast, packed lunch and evening meal each day of their stay and live as part of the family they are allocated to.
ATC Bray also offers accommodation in apartments next door to the school on
the seafront. The apartments have 2 or 3 twin and single rooms with a shared
kitchen, bathroom and living area.
The ATC residence, Marine Terrace, is located only 700 metres from the school on the seafront and offers accommodation in single and twin en-suite rooms with shared kitchen and living rooms. Marine Terrace has been recently refurbused and students can enjoy the panoramic views of the Irish sea and Wicklow mountains, whilst also being within a 5 minute walking distance to the school and local amenities.
