In addition to offering an extensive range of English language programmes for adults and juniors, Cork English College organises all elements of your stay in Ireland. This College also helps and supports clients with transfers to and from the airport, accommodation, social activities and excursions. CEC is an authorised Cambridge ESOL, IELTS, BULATS, TOEIC and TOLES examination centre in Cork.

Cork English College’s English afternoon classes focuse on effective communication and have a multi – layered syllabus which includes comprehensive work on grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and the skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing. Qualified and experienced teachers use a variety of published and authentic materials to help students to progress as quickly as possible.
New vocabulary is introduced and practised at every stage of the lesson and particular attention is paid to high frequency, internationally useful words and phrases.
Special emphasis is given to communicating effectively and accurately, and error correction plays an important role in classes. New language is practised through meaningful speaking tasks and discussions, which include regular integrated work on pronunciation.
15 hours of tuition per week.
The Academic Year Programme is aimed at students who need to improve their general English in addition to taking an internationally recognised English exam.
All students on the Academic Year Programme complete their course by taking a recognised exam such as Cambridge FCE or CAE or IELTS. Courses on the Academic Year programme have been approved for inclusion on the Internationalisation Register of Programmes recognised by the Ministry of Education and Skills for purposes of access to employment by students from outside the EU / EEA and Switzerland.
You can choose one of four exams:
• Cambridge PET / FCE / CAE;
• Trinity College of London ISE;

The Business English Course is perfect for students of business, those already working in the business environment and in regular contact with business clients and also those who will be working in English in the future.
On this course students expand their business related vocabulary and skills in English while at the same time improving overall grammatical accuracy and communicative competence. Students improve their business communication vocabulary and ability to speak about a wide variety of business topics. Our flexible, rolling enrolment option allows students to start every Monday.
